Last week, Jim Cramer asked, “Where can you possibly build if you want to build out new? It’s not like you can add much warehouse space in cities and even along the interstates land is taken.” Hamid Moghadam’s answer? That’s a strategic advantage. Our CEO and Co-founder shared that as urban areas fill up, our established footprint in prime metro locations becomes even more valuable. We’ve positioned ourselves to meet demand exactly where it’s growing. Watch for more of their conversation on CNBC:

Our Prologis Mobility team is so exceptional at what they do that customers are partnering with them at properties we don’t even own! Just ask Michael Gallagher from A.P. Moller - Maersk. In this testimonial, he shares why Performance Team trusted us to electrify its fleets at both Prologis and non-Prologis sites alike. We developed our Prologis Mobility offering for a reason: we saw a customer challenge that we had the scale to solve – wherever they need it and as quickly as they need it too! Do you remember Borders bookstore? In the 1990s, its founder was looking for warehouse space for an online grocery venture and met with our CEO Hamid Moghadam. After that meeting, Hamid figured out the impact that e-commerce was going to have on the real estate business and subsequently sold $1 billion dollars' worth of shopping centers and used the proceeds to go all in on warehousing. An incredibly smart move that led to Prologis’ current $218 billion value. Read all this and more in this genuinely interesting interview with The Times: https://lnkd.in/dz_5Z8Xm

This project features a solar hub, low-carbon building materials, green spaces and mobility offerings on each level. We are on track to receive BREEAM Excellent and BiodiverCity certifications. Located in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, in the heart of the Clichy-Batignolles ZAC, CONNECT Paris has a dedicated rail connection and quick access to the main roads. Hispanic/Latin-American Heritage Month has given our teams across the U.S. the opportunity to experience and embrace the dynamic culture of their peers - el sabor Latino! From salsa dancing and cafecito in Indianapolis to an intense domino showdown in Orlando and teaching the Silicon Valley office how to make (and savor) a home-cooked Latin meal, our HOLA employee resource group members have been busy spotlighting their culture to their peers. We also hosted a global webinar where HOLA members discussed the business impact of diverse experiences. In San Francisco, our employees engaged directly with La Casa de las Madres, learning exactly why HOLA chose to donate to the nonprofit organization during their heritage month (for two years in a row!). HOLA also donated to the Boys & Girls Club of Tracy and the Boys & Girls Club of Buena Park this month. HOLA is short for Hispanic/Latinx Organization for Leadership and Advancement - one of our five employee resource groups. The latest trend in build-to suit warehouses? Sustainability! On a recent project we: ☀️ Installed solar panels that generate enough energy to power 90% of the building's operations. 🌡️ Designed a building that maintains a moderate temperature for over 86% of the year (decreased energy for cooling/heating) 💡 Installed intelligent LED lights paired with a building design that allows 63% natural light. 🔌 Included 13 Level 2 electric vehicle charging station and 65 EV capable spaces. 🏗️ Designed to reduce embodied carbon by 11%. Oh, and all that came with a 90% savings on energy costs for our customer! Our team loves transforming sustainability challenges into operationally efficient solutions. What’s the key to building successful public-private partnerships? Former UK Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne and Ben Bannatyne talked about how business and government can work together. The conversation should not start with what the government can do for your company. It should start from a place of collaboration. George shared that government officials find great value in the insights that businesses can provide about the supply chain. Supply chain infrastructure is critical to economic growth. This was an insightful bonus conversation that you won’t want to miss out on watching: https://lnkd.in/ejnD97Xb #GROUNDBREAKERSEvent
