We're excited to introduce Pronto – distribution's first conversational AI chatbot prototype. Our mission has always been to help distributors to sell more. Pronto is our latest leap towards that goal, acting as a digital assistant for sales teams, making information access quick and easy. Pronto quickly answers your questions with the kind of detail you'd expect from a data analyst, but without actually needing one. Whether you're a sales rep on the move or a leader gearing up for a strategic meeting, Pronto equips you with the insights you need to hit your goals. ✅ Need to evaluate a vendor's performance? ✅ Want a draft email for a prospect about a product? ✅ Curious about which customers haven't purchased recently? ✅ Wondering which products to recommend to a specific customer? That’s a job for Pronto. Think Pronto could help your team work smarter? Check out the link in the comments for more details or to join the waitlist.

Since starting Proton, I’ve seen a few of our customers face cyber attacks—a tough reminder of how vulnerable businesses can be. For me, it underscored the importance of keeping our customers’ data safe and secure. At the beginning of the year, we made it our mission to achieve SOC 2 Type 2 compliance—a rigorous standard that evaluates how well a company manages customer data. Today, I’m proud to share that Proton is the first distribution CRM to reach this milestone. Getting here required a thorough review of our processes, rigorous testing, and a lot of teamwork. Thank you to everyone who played a part in making this happen.

Every Monday, our leadership team starts the meeting by sharing a professional win. Yesterday, I shared mine: At this year’s MDM SHIFT, Proton.ai got three shoutouts from customers who were speaking on the main stage—John Wiborg from Stellar Industrial Supply, Ramanujam Theekshidar from U.S. Electrical Services, Inc. and Kevin Short from ORS Nasco. These shoutouts mean a lot because they show that all the work we’ve put into improving our customer experience is paying off. We’ve been working hard to redefine what customer success means at Proton—building out an engagement strategy and streamlining our onboarding process for faster implementation and higher adoption rates. The positive feedback from our customers is a direct reflection of that effort, and I couldn’t be prouder of the team for getting us here.

The first time I presented at the NAW Innovators Summit, I was nervous. (For those who don’t know, it’s like an elevator pitch competition where distributors discover new technology.) Proton was just getting started, and AI was something many had only seen in sci-fi movies. Every person in that room was a potential customer, and I wasn’t sure how it would go. Now, three years later, I’m excited to be back, and here’s why: ✅ Many of those early attendees are now our customers—and they're seeing real results. We recently ran the numbers: distributors using Proton increase their growth rate 2.6x in their first year. ✅ AI isn’t so daunting anymore. Thanks to tools like ChatGPT, the conversation has shifted from “What is AI?” to “How can we use it better?” That’s the exciting part—sharing how we’re leveraging AI to make an even bigger impact in distribution. If you’re attending, let’s connect. Always up for a chat about what’s next for AI in our industry.

Breaking the CRM stigma one event at a time. Here’s Nicholas at HARDI Focus this week, challenging the old perceptions of CRM in distribution. (Not pictured: Benjamin at Modern Distribution Management (MDM) Shift.) Next up: National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors Innovators Summit. For too long, #CRM in distribution has been clunky, disconnected, and dreaded by reps. It’s been more about oversight than enablement. What’s energizing is the conversations we’re having at these events—talking about our different approach to CRM and the real results our clients are seeing. It’s time for a CRM that actually helps #distributors sell, not just check boxes.
