One city Smith describes as a model for this approach is #Barranquilla, Colombia. Their “Todos al Parque” initiative actively engaged residents at every step of the design process. #CityLabCDMX - Bloomberg American Sustainable Cities (BASC) #iteams - 25 new #Innovation Teams were launched in March 2024 to help proactively build low-carbon, resilient, and economically thriving communities. Bloomberg Philanthropies will provide funding and support to bolster city capacity in driving progress on climate mitigation and promoting equitable outcomes. https://lnkd.in/gNVDki_7 I was fortunate to meet many of the new amazing BASC i-team directors at #CityLab Mexico City (they all are smart, creative, driven, and funny), and am very excited about the ambitious and impactful work they are undertaking.
