COOL TOOLS. This electric-powered pipe bender can transform a 2” piece of conduit into a 90’ turn in 20 seconds. When Putzel is wiring new commercial or healthcare facilities, electric benders create precise bends in conduit runs. During renovations or electrical upgrades in existing spaces, these benders help modify conduit layouts. Electric benders are versatile and efficient allowing precise control over bending angles, which is crucial for meeting safety standards and code requirements in advanced projects. We don’t pull this baby out often, but when we do – we mean business! #electricalcontractor #advancedtools #commercialconstruction

Meet Bert. When you express an interest in joining the Putzel Electrical Contractors team, Bert is the first person you will meet. He’s the real deal! Starting as an apprentice, Bert finished a four-year program in just two years and was running a service truck solo in his second year of apprenticeship. Thirty-eight years later, he’s our Director of Field Operations and a proud co-owner of the company. His success story with us shows what is possible at Putzel with hard work, dedication and the willingness to learn. Bert ensures our projects have the right resources – people, material and specialty tools - to be done correctly and safely. Thank you for being an excellent example to our team. #EmployeeSpotlight #CareerGrowth #PutzelPride

Putzel Electrical Contractors, Inc. is helping Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC to expand a The Salvation Army shelter for unhoused people in Atlanta. Located near Centennial Olympic Park, the project will double the size of the current facility and increase the number of shelter beds from 321 to 437. Plans call for two floors of dormitory-style housing for male residents, and another two floors of individualized living spaces. The project will also include an Education and Workforce Development Center that will offer services to residents such as housing solutions, financial education, emergency assistance programs, and other programs designed to support veteran services. We are looking forward to work getting started this year!

The Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) annual fundraising golf tournament takes place on Tuesday, May 14th. Putzel is proud to sponsor the event benefiting the expansion of the NGHS Braselton Emergency Department. Built in 2015, NGHS Braselton ED was built to serve 25,000 visits a year. With more than 52,000 visits in 2022, the need for expansion is vital to the region. The Cheryl Shippey Memorial golf tournament, previously called the Laurel Classic, is named in memory of Cheryl Shippey, a beloved NGHS Foundation team member. She was well-known in the Braselton community for her work on NGHS Braselton’s Inaugural Campaign and was instrumental in the creation of the Laurel Classic.
