Recently, nine dedicated volunteers from Christie's joined forces to remove six cartloads of weeds from Volunteer Hill, making a significant contribution to the area’s ecological health. This initiative highlights the community spirit and environmental commitment of Christie's. By supporting volunteer efforts like this, Christie's demonstrates that their influence extends beyond the art world, actively contributing to the preservation and enhancement of New York's natural landscape. Thank you for supporting us, Christie's!

This past month, twelve enthusiastic volunteers from Mavik Capital Management and KPMG US rolled up their sleeves to support our Harvest Festival They cleaned 600 pumpkins and a variety of gourds, while also preparing the pumpkin patches and assisting with farm chores. This collaborative effort not only brought festive spirit to the event but also showcased Mavik Capital’s commitment to community involvement. Our Voice Was Heard! For over six months, RIPA has tirelessly advocated for the removal of the HERRC and for this parkland to be returned to the public. Recently, the Mayor announced that the facility will be removed by February 28, 2025. The City has also promised to fund full restoration of the fields and adjacent areas. We look forward to working with NYC Parks to restore our wonderful park and once again have it used for its intended purpose. Thank you for your continued support!

Lightyear was gracious enough to send 37 volunteers this past month to Randall's Island Park! These amazing individuals helped mulch the entire Freshwater Wetland path. Mulching helps conserve and extend available water, as well as protects the soil from erosion, amongst many other benefits. Huge thank you to Lightyear for helping us make a greener tomorrow!

This past month, Riverkeeper and HSBC came together here at Randall's Island Park! They sent 29 volunteers for an amazing restoration project. The volunteers successfully removed nine cartloads of weeds, creating space for intended plants to thrive. While HSBC hosted this event, it was our pleasure here at Randall's Island Park to be a part of supporting a greener New York City!

Scenes from the 6th Annual Ford Classic. The NYPD and FDNY battled it out on the soccer field at Icahn Stadium, all in support of two incredible causes: the Firefighter Sergio Villanueva Soccer Foundation and the NYPD Finest Soccer Club. It was an evening filled with camaraderie, competition, and community, as both teams gave their all for charity and the crowd came out to show their support. A huge thanks to everyone who joined us for this special event—your participation will make a lasting impact on these organizations. #FordClassic #NYPDvsFDNY #FirstResponders #Community #CharityEvent #GiveBack
