Is the future of agriculture indoors? Yesterday, we joined ReGrow Israel’s vision to build a future greenhouse as part of its mission to rebuild and strengthen agriculture in the western Negev. We heard some innovative approaches about how the new indoor facilities will look from Yoram Kapulnik, Adi Dishon, Avraham Arbel, Uri Adler, Abraham Gamliel, and Avital Bechar. We tasted some practical implementations of greenhouse use cases from Ramat Negev Research Center Desert and @Darom Research Center and met some of the Israeli indoor startups and companies: Arugga AI Farming, Tapkit, Grofit | Simply Grow More, Saffron Tech, CoverDolly, @ELVA and BiomicAgritech. ReGrow Israel is lucky to have many volunteers using their talents to help our cause. Nicole Hazan, a talented author, offered to do the extremely important work of compiling testimonies from farmers in the Western Negev about their experiences on October 7th. We're honored that the Jewish Book Council published the testimony from @Amos Lavi, survivor and witness to the atrocities that took place in Kibbutz Nirim.
