Another great read that caught our eye! Reisterstown Road Plaza is more than just a mall—it’s a prime example of mixed-use development, offering a one-stop destination for healthcare, government services, dining, and more. We've created a flexible, adaptable space that meets the needs of today’s consumers. https://lnkd.in/eZvJRUgk

This was an interesting read that resonated with us, because at The Plaza, we’re reimagining the traditional mall space as a dynamic community hub. Our focus is on creating a place for connection, local events, education, and more—strengthening the heart of our community. https://lnkd.in/gtMTNYF6

The Plaza is stepping into a bold new chapter, embracing change while honoring its roots as a community gathering place. With the removal of the iconic “drum” that has long defined its entrance, this milestone marks the beginning of a comprehensive transformation aimed at reimagining the space. “We are excited to welcome in a new era with a fresh new look and feel,” a representative of Tide Realty Capital, the Plaza’s new local owner, told BBL. The upcoming facade overhaul is just the first step in a broader effort to revitalize the Plaza, creating a more welcoming, modern, and community-oriented town center. The redesign seeks to foster deeper community engagement, offering updated spaces for local events, social connections, and vibrant experiences. Stay tuned for more exciting updates at the Plaza! Keep up the great work DHCD! We have great appreciation for all you do, supporting so many great organizations across Maryland.
The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development announced it has awarded $1.75 million in tax credits to projects across the state as part of the Fiscal Year 2025 Community Investment Tax Credit program. The program supports non-profit organizations involved in community and economic revitalization activities. Those non-profits use the tax credits as incentives for people and businesses to donate money, goods or real property to support operational and programmatic costs associated with projects that serve communities across Maryland. The program has leveraged nearly $31 million in charitable contributions to approximately 770 projects across the state since its inception and supported the work of groups such as Diakonia Inc. in Worcester County, Housing Initiative Partnership, Inc. in Prince George’s County and Baltimore SquashWise in Baltimore City. As we welcome 2025, we are excited to share that we've broken ground on the first phase of our renovation plans to create an even more inviting and vibrant community hub! This initial stage of construction is focused on exterior upgrades, including a new, improved main entrance. We've shifted the main entry point to get around the construction, but the mall is open! Come on by, check out what we are doing, get a bite to eat, and browse our retailers. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead filled with growth, connection, and memorable experiences at The Plaza!

Spreading cheer and supporting our community is what the Plaza is all about. We loved meeting the winners of our Holiday shopping spree and hearing their excitement firsthand. Our winner said, ‘This is really special you guys are doing this. You just made our Christmas!’—which was the best gift we could ask for this season. Happy holidays, and stay tuned for more exciting things to come!
