On November 8th, 2024, Fred Eversley’s Portals, his largest public art installation to date, was unveiled at Julian Abele Park in West Palm Beach. Honoring pioneering Black architect Julian Abele, the installation is a result of a collaborative effort between Related Ross, the City of West Palm Beach, and the art advisory consultancy Culture Corps, whose guidance helped bring this visionary piece to life. The project is now part of the city's ArtLife WPB program. The event featured remarks from Mayor Keith James and Related Ross executives Kenneth A. Himmel and Gopal Rajegowda. Located between Abele's First Church of Christ, Scientist and the future One Flagler building, the newly established 1.25-acre park is a fitting home for this bold new work.
