🚀 The Future of Generative AI in Legal Tech is Closer Than You Think! Since the release of ChatGPT, the legal world has been buzzing with excitement—and curiosity—about how AI will reshape our workflows. At Relativity Fest 2024 last week, it became clear that AI is not just a concept, it’s already here. With tools like aiR for Review leading the charge, we’re seeing groundbreaking results, from document reviews in record time to massive cost savings. Want to know more about how AI is changing the game in legal tech? Check out our latest blog! https://lnkd.in/g6Hh_kPD #LegalTech #GenerativeAI #AIinLaw #RelativityFest #Innovation #TrustpointOne

There is something in the aiR. #throwbackthursday to last week when we went through the gauntlet of #relativityfest. Three days of learning, trainings, networking, socializing…so many -ings. What did we learn? Panel: Isn’t it Time to Rethink “Document” Review · Watch out for shadow IT- departments getting “free trials.” Information subject to a hold could be somewhere legal isn’t aware of. · Challenges- new tech isn’t defined in terms of “documents.” How do we talk about burden of amount of “pages?” Need to speak same language to be able to talk about cost. · Think of in-house legal as Business Partner not Cost Center. Business partners are proactive, notice where more money can be made. · Rethink billing, move away from .1s. Why do we bill the same in small case as we do a large case? · Alternative Fee Arrangements drive efficiency, innovation, and predictability. Panel: The Future is Now for In-House Teams: Harnessing Generative AI in the Workplace · Info security will need time to vet new technology, start process ASAP · Can use GenAI in different ways, example: need business justification for new hire, ChatGPT can write this for you. Panel: Revolutionizing Legal Practice: Harnessing Generative AI for Law Firms · Use of prompts in aiR: talk to computer not human, can’t treat aiR like reviewers. · Generating buy-in: set tone with first project, gain trust from attorneys. Find the right people who will be your advocate. · What is impressive to partners: transparency on results. AiR give rationale on tag. · Start with low-risk, high-reward use cases—reviewing incoming productions for key documents, for example. Panel: Threading Uniqueness: Diverse Pathways to Career Success · It’s not always a straightforward path that leads us to where we need to be. We all have unique and amazing stories that have defined our lives and careers and brought us together in this profession. #ediscovery #legaltech #learning

Throwback Thursday to #RelativityFest 2014. At the time, I was four years into my career, and the judicial panel with Hon. Andrew Peck, Nora Barry Fischer, Xavier Rodriguez, David Waxse and David Horrigan convinced me to stick around. The era of TAR certainly isn't over, but it's amazing to watch the technology evolve. So grateful that Michael Obregon Kristi Schuda and the rest of the Relativity team were willing to deal with my outfit and suspect presentation skills at #relativityfest this year. It was so much fun and I am honored to have been able to present Jenna Rooney with the Customer Experience Innovation Award. Andrew Watt - we are truly Legal Gold!

“Right Here. Right Now.” — these words from Relativity CEO Phil Saunders truly resonated with our team last week at #RelativityFest in Chicago. It was our first time attending, and it couldn’t have been better timed, following the release of the Gravity Stack LLC white paper showcasing its successful #financialinvestigation proof of concept using the Sedra platform. Talk about a “Best Fest.” The excitement around the PoC was palpable. We had incredible meetings and insightful discussions with attendees eager to solve challenges around structured data in financial investigations. It’s clear there’s a need for a solution like ours as part of its solution stack— and Sedra is ready to lead the way. The Relativity Fest sessions were inspiring, the connections invaluable, and it all left us energized for the future. Next year, we’re aiming to do even more: imagine Sedra as a Relativity partner, an exhibitor in the Community Pavilion, and perhaps even sharing our insights on a panel on financial crimes and #ediscovery. Ready to see what Sedra can do for your financial investigations? Let’s connect and continue the conversation: www.sedrasolutions.com

Founder & CEO at TRU Staffing Partners, Inc. - x5 Inc 5000 leader, Data Privacy, A.I., eDiscovery & Cybersecurity Talent Representation
I’ve just returned from a whirlwind tour of Los Angeles and Chicago, starting at IAPP PSR and ending at Relativity Fest. A big thank you to everyone who invited me to speak on panels at both conferences with colleagues from Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists (ACEDS), Relativity, Meta, Uber, Relyance AI, and Ari Kaplan Advisors – I appreciate the opportunity! It’s clear the #privacy community is shouldering significant new responsibilities related to #AI and information governance. Yet, compensation and budgets have not increased to reflect this growing workload. The next three months will be critical for privacy leaders to advocate for the salaries and headcount needed to support running parallel programs in privacy and AI governance. TRU Staffing Partners, Inc. has extensive market insights to help with budget planning. Reach out to info@trustaffingpartners.com for a consultation. For #eDiscovery professionals, Relativity Fest continues to mark an annual inflection point. Below are my top three takeaways, including the aggressive adoption of RelativityOne by law firms and the definitive integration of AI technology (aiR) into document review workflows. Join me and our friends at ACEDS on October 15 for a full recap of Relativity Fest, along with a Q3 analysis of eDiscovery job market trends. Enjoy this week’s hot jobs! https://hubs.ly/Q02RLv0c0
