Today we present to you Restore4Life 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗣𝟰 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱 Centrul National Pentru Dezvoltare Durabila (#CNDD). 🙌 CNDD is responsible within the project, with the coordination process of 𝗪𝗣𝟰 - 𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗲𝘁𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀. In this respect, CNDD will lead the specific activities related to Task 4.1 - Regional capacity and marketing research for sustainable business, Task 4.3 - Business support framework embedding wetland restoration into the local economy and Task 4.4 - Modules for business policy design contributing to the Restore4Life Wetland restoration Accelerator.  The Task mentioned above,  provides a general overview of the site-based outcomes from the previous Tasks, combined with those from WPs 2, 3 and 5, with a focus on measuring and rebuilding 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗲𝘁𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿-𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲-𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 with strong links to research and development organizations and EU innovation bodies. 💚 Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries (IGB) are Restore4Life 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗣𝟮 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱. The Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries (IGB) is Germany’s largest and one of the leading international centres for 💧 #freshwaterresearch, with the mission of interdisciplinary research for the future of our freshwaters. It is legally represented by the Forschungsverbund Berlin e.V., which is reflected by their official acronym FVB.IGB. 🙌 With their broad experience from previous national and EU projects and their innovation and expertise on the monitoring and assessment of ecosystem services provided by the Danube and its floodplains including stakeholder involvement, FVB.IGB was part of the core team initiating Restore4Life. ✨ Meet Restore4Life 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿 University of Bucharest. 🙌 As part of Restore4Life their role is crucial, leading WP1 (Develop a long term wetland restoration service) and WP7 (Project Management). Under WP1 they are driving both the development of a comprehensive 𝗪𝗲𝘁𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗶𝗸𝗶 and a 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺. This includes creating a database for climate-adaptive restoration techniques and co-developing an online Wetland Reconstruction Accelerator. In WP7, UB ensures the smooth project coordination, efficient management, and impactful reporting.
