Our Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital Crystal Spring Tower team welcomed Elevate Construction Founder and Chief Operating Officer Jason Schroeder for a site visit, highlighting the innovations and Lean principles our team is using to complete this significant project. Jason provided the following feedback for our team: 🏗️ The project was perfectly clean, safe, and organized. 🏗️ [Senior Superintendent] Josh [Young] has the ability to connect with and care for people in a way that is unmatched in my mind. 🏗️ There was effective visual management everywhere -- it was the best I have seen. 🏗️ Everywhere I looked I could see quality at the source. 🏗️ Josh has one of the most effective and superior scheduling systems I have seen to date. We're so glad Jason was able to see all of the incredible ways our Carilion team is setting the bar for the rest of the industry!

We are devastated by the widespread destruction caused by Hurricane Helene in the Southeast. Over the past few days, we’ve been speaking with our teams, assessing needs, and trying to better understand what the coming weeks and months will bring to our communities. In these early stages of recovery, we have seen our friends and neighbors come together to help where they can, reminding us of the importance of unity. There are no words that can fully express the profound feeling of loss for so many. Our hearts are with our communities.

We’re often asked why we chose careers in construction, and while our answers may vary, they’re united by a common theme: We want to build something bigger than ourselves. We build to make a difference, shape our communities, and give our families the lives they deserve. We’re building a legacy. As we kick off Careers in Construction Month, we’ll spend October focusing on our future and the people who will help us build it. Follow along throughout the month as we celebrate and highlight all that careers in construction bring to our lives. Florida Division Manager Todd Watson kicks things off by providing his unique insight on what it means to #BeATrueBuilder. #CareersInConstructionMonth

We're hosting a variety of sessions at next month's Lean Construction Institute (US) Congress from Oct. 22-25 in San Diego, California, and we hope you'll join us! To kick off the week, our team of speakers will take a deep dive into the value of Conditions of Satisfaction (CoS), demonstrating how to keep CoS at the forefront of the decision-making process throughout a project. In our second session, our team will provide insight into how they infused innovation into traditional Takt planning to create an optimal project flow, improving speed to market with minimal labor. We'll close out the week by hosting an interactive session showing tangible ways to engage your workforce to become the advocates you need to transform your organization. Also, be sure to catch us our official Happy Hour event at 7 p.m. Oct. 23. We're looking forward to an exciting event! bit.ly/3Xte6hr

We had a tremendous time hosting our second annual Robins & Morton Raleigh Open golf tournament, raising $40,000 for charity! Our team welcomed 240 players to the links to support Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Triangle and K9s For Warriors. We were excited to deliver $20,000 donations to each organization. We would like to offer a special thank you to all of our sponsors who made this event possible, especially our title sponsors: ERS Construction Products, Starr Electric Company, Inc., Adams Electric Company, and SPC Mechanical Corporation. Congratulations to our winners and thank you to all our participants! We look forward to seeing everyone again next year! #GivingWithPurpose

🌟 Building Hope, One Playset at a Time! 🌟 Our South Carolina team members recently partnered with the amazing Roc Solid Foundation, an organization dedicated to building hope for children fighting cancer. The foundation provides playsets for children as an escape and a way for them and their families to create happy memories. Our Self Regional Healthcare project team in Greenwood, South Carolina, and our Spartanburg baseball stadium project team joined together to build a playset for Zoey (pictured on slide) and her family. Thank you to our trade partners CarolinaPower, Taylor Interiors, LLC, The National Consulting Team, and Trifecta Services Company for supporting this cause, as well as to Self Regional Healthcare for participating in the build. Thank you as well to Roc Solid Foundation for the opportunity. Our team members had a wonderful day and were thrilled to be part of this heartwarming initiative. #GivingWithPurpose #ChildhoodCancerAwarenessMonth
