Today, #RPA is taking decisive action against one of the world’s most urgent and overlooked public health emergencies—lead poisoning. Through the Eliminating Lead Poisoning Innovation Fund, we’re driving bold innovations to transform how we detect and combat lead exposure, particularly in low- and middle-income communities that have been neglected for far too long.   In partnership with UNICEF and USAID’s Partnership for a Lead-Free Future, RPA will leverage its global philanthropic network to convene an advisory board of experts and community members on the frontlines of this crisis. At RPA, we believe in the power of innovation to unlock solutions. In closing out Climate Week NYC, we're spotlighting an organization from the opposite side of the country. #RPA sponsored project, Accelerate Resilience L.A. (ARLA), envisions Los Angeles as a climate-resilient region that is safer, healthier, and more prepared for our increasingly dangerous climate reality. ARLA supports the implementation of community-driven living infrastructure at scale across Los Angeles County, advancing community resilience, stabilizing local climates, and regenerating interconnected social and ecological systems. In 2022, Drive Electric launched the Leapfrogging to E-mobility Acceleration Partnership (LEAP) Fund to support low-carbon transitions by investing in electric transportation technology. As part of the fund’s first phase, 10 projects in Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia received grants totaling $1 million. Today, alongside the United Nations General Assembly, RPA's Shifting Systems Initiative will host a discussion titled "Collaborating to BUILD Transformational Change." As the United Nations General Assembly and Climate Week NYC continue this week, we're highlighting some of our partner organizations on the front line of the climate crisis.
