A game changer in construction layouts! We experienced the extraordinary power of the HP SitePrint at our UpperRoom Church project in Dallas. In just one day, SitePrint laid out 15,000 sqft of wall layouts, wall-type tags, AV receptacles, fire protection hangers and heads, door swings, door tags, and even the hardware schedule. Our VDC Interns got an up-close look at this revolutionary technology and hands-on learning from our HP Partners. Would you use this on one of your projects?

AMD Met Labs Phase 1 has won the prestigious Eagle Award at ABC Central Texas’s Excellence in Construction Awards! Designed to advance AMD’s AI research and development, this 73,000 SF fit-out was no ordinary project. From its demanding schedule to its highly technical lab requirements, every aspect required meticulous planning, creative solutions, and precise execution. Through close collaboration with AMD, Project Management Advisors, Inc., and Page, we overcame the complexities of dense MEP systems and an aggressive timeline, using advanced design-assist methods, real-time procurement tracking, and a carefully selected team of trade partners. Our commitment to value engineering and proactive risk management ultimately resulted in significant cost savings while supporting AMD’s ambitious goals. Supporting our clients’ goals in data center and mission critical projects is at the heart of what we do. We’re grateful to AMD and all involved in bringing this project to life — an achievement that exemplifies our shared commitment to quality. Congratulations to everyone who made this project possible!

President of the Austin Chapter AGC

Enjoyed seeing several construction projects led by Austin AGC contractors yesterday afternoon in the Rainey Street district: JE Dunn Construction continues work on Paseo, a 557-unit downtown Austin apartment tower that topped out this summer. The high-rise mixed use tower is scheduled to open in August 2025. https://lnkd.in/g3iK3sKj Rogers-O'Brien Construction is busy doubling the size of the Mexican American Cultural Center that will feature new classrooms and studios as well as a pavilion overlooking Lady Bird Lake and an outdoor amphitheater. https://lnkd.in/g8d8sdvY Jay-Reese Contractors is building The Confluence, a 13-acre segment along Waller Creek, spanning from 4th Street to Lady Bird Lake. This unique project is the second phase of a 35-acre greenspace initiative to connect the University of Texas campus to Lady Bird Lake via a network of trails, parks, and community-friendly infrastructure. https://lnkd.in/gupHAUav Also, all of the projects are located adjacent to the Butler Hike-and-Bike Trail, the 10-mile lush path that meanders along the water throughout central Austin and widely considered the heart and soul of our town. Many Austin contractors are supporters of the The Trail Conservancy whose mission is to protect, enhance, and connect the Trail for the benefit of all. Last night the Conservancy hosted another fantastic Music on the Trail event and even brought along their famous goats who tirelessly work to eradicate noxious and invasive plants, such as poison ivy, from the Trail. Great organization! Last, and not least, a shout out to Standard Proof Whiskey Co located on Rainey as they always support our annual BBQ Cook Off and Rodeo coming up this weekend! Look for Shiloh Rowe on Saturday for a tasting of some great Standard Proof whiskeys. Thanks for the support David Masters and Shelly Masters! https://lnkd.in/giE--aSH It’s always awesome to see how Austin is able to combine both the natural and built environments that collectively help create our outstanding quality of life here and attracts so many people to our city. Thank you to all the construction industry professionals who work tirelessly on projects like these that ultimately benefit all in our community! #austin #construction #buildagreatlife Maddy Kelly
