This past week, our Syracuse team went above and beyond to support local veterans by hosting a food drive with Feed Our Vets. We collected nearly 2,000 pounds of food and Saab will be matching our food donation with a $19,000 check! We are proud to support those who sacrificed so much for our country. #iworkatsaab

Saab Secures New Order for Carl-Gustaf Systems from U.S. Air Force Saab has received an order from the U.S. Air Force for Carl-Gustaf® M4 Systems. The order value is $7.8M with deliveries taking place during 2026. Saab’s Carl-Gustaf system (designated MAAWS in the U.S.) has a long and proven record with the U.S. military. This order is a first for the U.S. Air Force, joining U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) as U.S. customers. The order will allow the U.S. Air Force to equip soldiers with a proven solution to effectively deal with multiple challenges on the modern battlefield. “Saab is constantly evolving to meet broader customer needs, and we are thrilled to add the U.S. Air Force as a new customer for the Carl-Gustaf,” said Erik Smith, President and CEO of Saab in the U.S. “This order will ensure that our airmen will have a multi-purpose and flexible weapon system that gives them a tactical advantage in any combat scenario.” The reloadable, multi-purpose Carl-Gustaf system has been in service in the U.S. since 1990 and as a Program of Record for the U.S. Army since 2013. https://ow.ly/a4Zk50T43m0

This month, we shine a spotlight on China Gholson, an Assembler based in West Lafayette, IN. China's primary responsibilities include assembling products to quality standards, and she plays a crucial role in training new team members at our T-7A advanced manufacturing facility. Is there a project you’re most proud of? I am particularly proud of the assembly of the T-7A frames. It's a complex and challenging project that required precise attention to detail and adherence to strict quality standards. My team works diligently to ensure the frames are assembled flawlessly, meeting all safety and performance requirements. Seeing the completed frames is truly rewarding and a testament to our expertise and dedication. Tell us about something that unexpectedly prepared you for the role you're in today. My previous job as a general manager prepared me for my current role by teaching me how to handle live situations, adapt quickly, and stay calm under pressure. These experiences have been crucial in my current role, allowing me to provide immediate responses and solutions to users' queries and needs. What traits do you most admire in leaders or colleagues? I admire leaders and colleagues who face adversity and overcome challenges. This includes embracing failure, building strong teams, and leading with empathy and compassion. How does Saab’s mission of keeping people and society safe resonate with you? Saab's mission to keep people safe resonates with me deeply. Working for Saab allows me to contribute to the well-being and security of individuals—particularly U.S. Airmen, which is incredibly meaningful to me. #iworkatsaab

At Saab, we understand the importance of investing in the well-being of our employees. Our annual Lifestyle Reimbursement Account allows our team to prioritize their physical, mental, and emotional health with approved purchases like gym memberships, athletic apparel, and even childcare. Cindy and Gary Bridge from our Air Traffic Management team have used this benefit to invest in E-Bikes! “We think that it is wonderful that the company is recognizing how important it is to have a healthy lifestyle and encouraging it by offering this benefit to help make that happen. It has helped us add an enjoyable and healthy activity to improve our work-life balance.” - Cindy and Gary 🚴♂️🚴♀️ #EmployeeWellness #iworkatsaab Photo: Cindy and Gary enjoying a ride around Cape Vincent, NY .
