Hello LinkedIn community! As some of you may know, I have recented rejoined the Canadian Tire family to become an Associate Dealer. I am currently in training (not cycling as much, so this should be interesting), I look forward to join a great group of peers and to support the amazing initiatives that this company undertakes. Jumpstart has always impressed me by the impact it has in communities across Canada and the support it offers for kids to have a chance to participate in sports activities. I am asking for your support as I prepare to ride in Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities' Pedal for Kids event in June. This year's Hot Hearts Rally (Rajd Gorących Serc) will take place in September, but preparations are already in full swing. This is an initiative that Vastint supports with pride and commitment! The main goal of the event is to promote sports activities and support people with disabilities. The funds collected during the event will be donated to selected organizations supporting sports by organizing training and camps, active rehabilitation and providing access to equipment. The main financial goal of the organization is to purchase their own means of transport for the students, with which they could transport equipment for trips and competitions. However, if the raised funds do not allow this, the organizations plan to purchase hand bikes. The cost of one such bike is approximately PLN 40 k. In 2023, during the first Polish edition of the unique event called the Hot Hearts Rally, thanks to sponsors, partners and all participants, jointly we raised over PLN 470 k! In our opinion, this is a unique opportunity to support those in need and raise funds for a good cause. Thanks to our participation, we have a real impact on improving the lives of many people with disabilities, which is consistent with the values we promote. Additionally, we care about the well-being of our employees! July Monthly Update- 14,000 steps a day for a year in aid of The Archie Foundation.   Time for my July update already! This will be fairly text heavy update as I don't have many pictures of me out on walks - it's been quite wet during a lot of my walks this month. As always, thanks to those who have donated. Although I'm past my target, I'd love to reach the next step of raising £1000. Link to donate is below as always.   Achievements for this month include going past 3,000,000 steps for the year and going over 400km in the month for only the second time. I have now completed 66% of my target distance and for those keeping track you will find my mapped route below.   To mark the Olympic marathon taking place on the 10th of August, I figured I would categorise my walking in marathons. To date, I have completed 64.8 marathons, just over 9 per month on average and roughly one every 3 1/2 days. On March 18th, 2020, I went for my first-ever run. It's a small miracle to me that I've kept it up, four years later. To celebrate, on Sunday, May 12th, 2024, I'll join thousands of other runners on Yonge St. for my first-ever Sporting Life 10k in Toronto, alongside my sisters from Hill Run Club. I want to make this bigger than my own personal race by asking you to fuel my run with a donation. I have an ambitious goal: to raise $10,000 - that's $1,000 for every km of my race. Running a 10km race is incredibly daunting. The longest I've ever run in my life is 11k, and have only run 10k a handful of times. It's not an easy distance for me. But the fact that I've stuck with running, no matter how imperfectly, no matter how 'slow' my pace is, for four years, is something I'm incredibly shocked by and proud of. I mostly run on my own; for the comfort of going my own pace. But when I run with Allison Hill and the girls at Hill Run Club, I feel like I can fly.
