Faces of Hope

Words cannot describe how grateful we are to Scentsy, Inc. (Corporate Office) for quickly pivoting months of Rock-a-Thon planning indoors due to poor air quality. Rocking may have looked different this year, but we still raised awareness and vital funding to provide our services at no cost. This donation will help solidify Faces of Hope’s safety net of crisis care for survivors in two Ada County locations. Thank you for rocking with us! 🪑🪑🪑 #ScentsyRockAThon

🚨 URGENT UPDATE: We are looking forward to Scentsy's annual Rock-a-Thon that support's Faces of Hope. Due to the poor air quality, Scentsy is making a few changes to the events. They are bringing the party inside! 🎉 The Rock-a-Thon will still take place tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 6, but will now be inside the Scentsy building at 2901 E. Pine Ave. The event will run from 8 am to 5 pm (instead of 8 pm). At 5 pm, Scentsy will present Faces of Hope with a generous donation! If you are scheduled to rock and/or volunteer with us from 5-8 p.m., come earlier and celebrate with us. Scentsy will have lots of food trucks on-site throughout their beautiful campus. 🚚 The fireworks show is cancelled for this year. 🎆 We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as Scentsy makes these changes. While these changes aren’t what we hoped, we still have a GREAT opportunity to raise funds and awareness for Faces of Hope! 💜

We are so grateful to Scentsy, Inc. (Corporate Office) employees for the incredible donation drive they held in conjunction with Rock-a-Thon! They purchased hygiene items, new clothes and shoes for Hope’s Closet, personal alarms, fidget toys and rings to help anxious clients, gift cards for fun experiences, bedding, and so much more. Our case manager Jenn recommends "Healing from Hidden Abuse: A Journey Through the Stages of Recovery from Psychological Abuse" by Shannon Thomas, LCSW. Abuse is abuse, even when there are no physical bruises. The book journeys through six recovery stages: Despair, Education, Awakening, Boundaries, Restoration, and Maintenance.
