Moody's has upgraded Peninsula Clean Energy’s credit rating to A3, placing us in the top-rated category among California community energy providers. This recognition reflects the collective effort of our customers, partners, and team to provide affordable, reliable, and cleaner energy. Our financial strength is supported by a strong customer base, a diverse energy portfolio, and increased demand, including approximately 60 gigawatt-hours from Caltrain's historic electrification project. Together, these achievements reinforce a model that works—for our customers, for our communities, and for a cleaner energy future. This recent EV Ready project at a condo property in East Palo Alto demonstrates how multi-unit properties can install EV charging without utility service upgrades by maximizing existing electrical capacity using our "right-sizing" approach to EV charging. Pando smart outlets provide power management so that properties can install EV charging at scale with the available power capacity that they already have—no need to get costly and time-consuming power upgrades. Project Details: Total outlets: 92 Average total cost per charger: $2,600 Average out-of-pocket costs (after PCE incentives applied): $500 each This method enables full EV charging access for all residents while avoiding costly and time-consuming electrical system modifications. On October 24th, Peninsula Clean Energy hosted California Public Utilities Commission staff to showcase our “right-sizing” approach to electrification with visits to two key sites: • A single-family home in our whole-home electrification pilot • An apartment complex with 30 affordable Level 1 EV charging stations These projects demonstrate scalable, low-cost electrification for hard-to-reach customers while avoiding costly grid upgrades. Together, we're paving the way for equitable, efficient decarbonization across California communities! #Electrification #CommunityImpact #AffordableEnergy #CPUC

The project also includes battery storage that allows the solar power to be used even without significant sunshine. We recently joined a ribbon-cutting celebration with fellow Community Choice Aggregation agencies Central Coast Community Energy, Clean Power Alliance, and Silicon Valley Clean Energy, and Arica project developer and owner Clearway Energy Group to jointly showcase how CCAs are leading the charge in helping California meet its ambitious climate goals by providing reliable and clean power for our customers.
