REC employees and Colorado Rural Electric Association's Tim Coleman, Director of Government Relations, talked with the students about rural electric cooperatives in contrast to investor-owned utilities and much more. This program empowers our rural consumers to make energy-efficient home upgrades, paid off over time on their electric bills with no money down, no credit check and a low interest rate: https://lnkd.in/gWZ3p3Mm 👏 Through this exclusive funding initiative through our members, more people will be able to affordably experience the benefits of electrification and the improved quality of life it brings. 🙌 Consumer-members of San Luis Valley Rural Electric / Ciello and Sangre de Cristo Electric Association, Inc. can participate in the program now, with more cooperatives joining the program in the coming weeks and months. 💚 We are also pleased that the Colorado Clean Energy Fund is our strategic partner in this program. BFDs on Energized Distribution Lines: FulcrumAir continues to push boundaries in the installation of Bird Flight Diverters on energized distribution lines. Our most recent project, completed yesterday for San Luis Valley Rural Electric / Ciello, involved installing BFDs on a 7.2kV and 12.47kV distribution line at 8500’ above sea level, stretching over a frozen river beside a highway. As always, the operation was done in full compliance with all regulatory requirements.
