Happy National Intern Day! This summer, Tri-State is proud to have welcomed eight exceptional interns to our team. These talented individuals have had the opportunity to learn and contribute within their respective departments, while also taking part in facility and plant tours to better understand the inner workings that keep the lights on across our member territories. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each intern for their dedication and hard work. #NationalInternDay #InternDay #RisingTalent #ProfessionalDevelopment #Internship

Congratulations to Randi P., manager of Generation Engineering, on receiving the 2024 Emerging Leader Award from Alltricity Network - formerly RMEL. The award recognizes members who are up-and-coming in their company and have had 5-10 years of experience in the industry, establishing significant contributions within their organization and have demonstrated the potential for leadership and continuing service in the electric utility industry. Since joining Tri-State in December 2022, Prime oversees a team of engineers with a wide variety of skills and projects centered around current and future power generation. She also sits on the Alltricity Scholarship Foundation Board of Directors, helping to promote the electric utility industry through scholarships. Prime is among the eight electric energy industry professionals from across the United States who received this award and the sixth Tri-State employee to win the honor. #CoopFamily #BetterTogether #Colorado #Cooperative

We proudly co-sponsored the 2nd annual JOLT (Just Organization Leading Transition) conference held in Montrose, Colo. on June 27-28. Their important mission is to advocate for, communicate with and educate coal-impacted communities on transition efforts, while promoting an all of the above energy mix. Travis Sondrol, our Craig Station Plant Manager, participated in a geothermal panel, along with other energy leaders. He discussed the retirement of Craig Station between 2025 and 2028, and the continuing need for dispatchable resources (which are resources that can be turned on or turned up as needed), including geothermal resources, that help keep power stable, reliable and affordable.
