At the recent Medicaid Health Plans of America (MHPA) conference, we shook things up a little by bringing a Scene patient advisor and former program participant on stage with us. Meet Michael and hear about his incredible transformation, being the first in his family to break the cycle of diabetes.

We recently joined our partners at CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield for the grand opening of a new community center and at the Greater Maryland Heart Walk. CareFirst does amazing outreach in their communities, and our Scenesters are proud to participate and support our local Baltimore neighbors.

Thank you, Dr. Alexander Billioux, for highlighting our work with UnitedHealthcare Community & State's pediatric asthma members! Helping kids breathe easier and spend more time being kids is incredibly rewarding work. For just one example of how our program impacts the lives of members with asthma, see Joshua's story: https://lnkd.in/ejMtWVFx
For children living with asthma, a diagnosis is only the beginning of a lifelong routine of self-care and maintenance. Adjusting to new medication, learning to avoid triggers, and recognizing the signs of an asthma attack are only a handful of the tasks that families must acclimate to that highlight the importance of education in managing this disease. The collaboration between UnitedHealthcare and Scene Health is making a difference in the lives of these young patients and their families. Their efforts help to ensure that resources are available to those in need and that no child is left without support. https://uhc.care/5nng9k

We're proud to be a Johns Hopkins spinout and a #Baltimore born company. Congratulations to Christy Wyskiel and Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures (JHTV) for being named one of Fast Company's Ignition Schools! After 10+ years of putting in the work with student entrepreneurs to launch several game-changing companies, Christy and her team have created a true technology ecosystem in our hometown. https://lnkd.in/e-QYtGZm

Only 10.7% of adults in the U.S. reported having a usual source of care in 2022. Having a trusted provider helps ensure continuity of care and preventive visits, resulting in a better patient experience. Our program connects members with primary care providers, scheduling appointments when needed. Why? These visits are key components to adherence. • You can't treat your condition if you don't have the right medication • You can't get the right medication if you don't have a prescription • You can't get a prescription without a provider visit • You don't know if your medication is working without labs Along our 10-year journey to help patients take their medications properly, we have learned that certain steps are necessary for true adherence and improved health. We're committed to going beyond medication refills so your members feel empowered to take control of their health. Read more from Sara Heath at Xtelligent Healthcare : https://lnkd.in/efbc_Az3
