Employee Spotlight! This week we step into the Schoolhouse factory to chat with George Heflin IV! Manufacturing Specialist 1 What do you do here? I assemble light fixtures and clocks.  We are on a rotating schedule where we do prep work, quality control, and supplying parts for the products we make. How long have you worked here? 3.5 years What is your favorite item in your home? My wood burning cook stove.  1936 Round Oak.  In the cool months of the year, I cook all of the meals on that stove to take advantage of it heating the house as well. What are you watching or listening to currently? I love watching Hometown on HGTV What are you currently working on? Currently assembling IBM Clocks.  When the 100-year anniversary of IBM came around, the company turned to Schoolhouse for a re-imagination of the Indicator Clock. Schoolhouse is now the exclusive manufacturer of these legendary clocks What is your favorite product? I love the Norfolk.  There is something about that ceramic that I really love.  I usually do not like gold colored things, but those brass or polished nickel screws against the black or white glossed ceramic, I really appreciate.
