What an incredible week at SSA! This past week, we flew in top performers from our seven branches for an intensive week of operational improvements / kaizens on our processes here in the Twin Cities branch. We also had an interactive panel featuring some of our customers, where we heard about their companies, what they value, and how our work plays a critical part in accelerating their scientific innovations and ensuring patient safety. We concluded the week with our quarterly co-owner town hall, where we discussed strategy, employee feedback, and our impressive operational and financial results. Importantly, we celebrated some incredible accomplishments of our Minnesota and Virginia branches, and our company’s collective growth into the largest independently-owned cleanroom certifier. We set extremely ambitious goals for 2025, such as being #1 in every state we operate in, opening new branches, and further creating a team of A-players and a results oriented culture. We took full stock that these goals will require hard work, change, and collaboration. We recognized that this level of commitment and change is not for everyone, and offered a generous transition and severance package for anybody that wanted to voluntarily opt out Why? Because we believe it’s critical to have employees pause, look ahead, and decide whether this aligns with their personal and career goals. If it doesn’t, we want to support their next steps. There’s nothing more important than having a team that's fully aligned, ready for the challenges ahead, and bought into the company vision. Growth enables us to further invest in the experience of our employee co-owners. We proudly announced that we now cover 100% of vision and dental, removed the per diem limit for out of town travel, and will let our branches independently determine the best vacation policies to suit their teams. Excited to announce our 7th and largest addition to the Scientific Safety Alliance (SSA) yet. Today, we announced our acquisition of Class 1 Air, further expanding our presence in the Midwest. Based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Class 1 Air has been a leading controlled environment certification provider and specialty air filter distributor since 2005. By joining forces, we can better serve both of our customers and continue to expand our company's robust employee ownership program, benefits package, and training program. When I first spoke to Tony LaMacchia two years ago, it was clear that he cared deeply about his employees and customers. Almost all of C1A's technicians are CNBT and NSF accredited, demonstrating the company's commitment to providing the highest quality technical service. We are excited to continue the C1A legacy. Thrilled to announce our 6th partner here at SSA: BME Lab and Science With BME, we can now offer our Midwest customers laboratory equipment maintenance services, including the maintenance, calibration, and repair of autoclaves, centrifuges, pipettes, balances, microscopes, incubators, among other pieces of mission-critical equipment. We're excited to have BME collaborate with our team at CSI Testing and AT Analytical LLC here in the Midwest. When I first met Tom Holm two years ago, I was struck by his dedication to providing research customers with the best service experience. More importantly, it was clear that he truly cared about taking care of his employees (many of whom were family)! We are excited to continue the BME legacy, and most importantly keep taking care of his team. The combination of BME and SSA creates meaningful growth opportunities for both teams. Excited to announce the completion of our new training center in our South Dakota location! At SSA, our number one priority is ensuring that our team provides the highest quality service to our valued customers. This facility is equipped with a training cleanroom, certifiable primary controls (biosafety cabinets and isolators) and a classroom for 15 people. SSA hosted a select group of technicians for a rigorous four-day training camp focused on all CETA guides and USP standards, culminating in the CNBT examination. Starting 2024 with a bang! Excited with our fourth acquisition: Calyx Metrology Laboratory, a leading healthcare technology calibration provider. This acquisition gives us a foothold in the northeast and expands our calibration capabilities to include healthcare technology test equipment. With Calyx, we onboard half of the hospitals on the Forbes list of 100 best hospitals in the Mid-Atlantic States, Ohio Valley, and New England. When we first met John and Doris a year ago, we were immediately struck by the great cultural fit and their commitment to delivering excellent service. Like other acquisitions, the Calyx team will become co-owners in SSA through our employee ownership plan.
