Excited to espresso my excitement for Pavilion's GTM Summit in Austin this week - I just flew in, and I’m already brewing with anticipation! ✈️ It’s going to be a latte learning and insights from incredible panelists like Sam Jacobs, Anne Pao, Joelle Gropper Kaufman, Neil W., Anjai "AJ" Gandhi, Steph Reck, Leslie Greenwood, Melissa Moody, Jason Yarborough, Jen Igartua, Kyle Coleman, Sangram Vajre, Jacco van der Kooij, Christine Maxey, Oana Manolache, Alina Vandenberghe, and more. My hand’s percolating from typing all those names – and that's just the presenters from the first day! If you find yourself in need of a pick-me-up between sessions, come find me. My hometown coffee shop helped me turn my business cards into coffee cards – I’ll hand you one, and you'll get a shot of espresso on me, along with a taste of what Scoop Analytics has to offer. But bean warned, these cards will go fast, so grab yours brew-tifully early. Let’s make this summit grounds for success!

Hosted another fantastic panel for TECH WEEK by a16z on Tuesday morning. Byron Scott, Greg Parker, and Rashmi Viswanath had a robust discussion on early stage marketing, sales, and operations. 1️⃣ Consolidating Tools and Platforms: It's essential for companies, especially early-stage ones, to consolidate their tools and platforms. Using a platform that offers multiple functionalities in one place can save time and prevent inefficiencies caused by switching between different systems. For example, using a tool like Apollo for lead generation, email sequencing, and contact management can streamline processes, reduce manual effort, and speed up testing and experimentation. 2️⃣ Breaking Data Silos for Unified Analysis: RevOps and sales teams should focus on integrating data from different systems to create a cohesive and accurate analysis. Having access to data across various channels allows for better attribution, multi-touch reporting, and a more accurate picture of the overall funnel. This also helps get everyone on the same page, avoiding discrepancies in data interpretation between teams or leadership. 3️⃣ Adaptability and Clear Communication in Sales Strategies: In go-to-market (GTM) strategies, it is crucial to map out and prioritize sales plays and target segments. Over time, companies will need to adjust their approach to new, less-converting segments and complex customer personas. Teams should focus on defining standardized metrics (e.g., MQLs, SQLs) to ensure consistent messaging across departments and to maintain alignment in goals and reporting. Versatility in roles, particularly with sales hires, is also critical for adapting to evolving needs. These insights emphasize the importance of tool consolidation, breaking down data silos, and aligning sales and marketing teams for improved efficiency and growth. Really exciting panel, and thank you Tracy Chmelauskas for helping with the logistics and Brad Peters and the Scoop Analytics team for help organizing, and Ridge Ventures for hosting us!

- How a company used door-hangers as their first legit marketing channel - How enterprise sales is about ego-driven marketing - There is something called a first-mover advantage that's back in vogue. Mada Seghete and Kristopher Floyd are rockstars. They were also my co-panelists on Monday as we discussed early-stage GTM. It was a pleasure to speak at the panel in one of the first events to kick off San Francisco Tech Week 2024. Thank you Janet Gehrmann and Scoop Analytics for inviting me. I discussed how our product advantage translated into a lead magnet that drove a big chunk of our revenue; and how our customer love is the #1 reason why we get new deals. Looking forward to even more amazing things to discuss in the coming months! [We have something big cooking at Sybill]

Monday night I was lucky enough to moderate an amazing panel of founders in the go-to-market space, with Kristopher Floyd from Darwinian Ventures, Mada Seghete from Upside, and Nishit Asnani from Sybill. They all shared fantastic stories about the inside of growing a company from the ground floor: ▶️Nishit shared stories about how the technical skills of his founding team has helped Sybill stay ahead of the curve in a crowded space ▶️Kris talked about how sometimes it's the low tech growth marketing tactics that helped him scale Tumble ▶️Mada emphasized the importance of developing a community and thought leadership within a space, both from her time at Branch and now at Upside. It was a fantastic kick off to TECH WEEK by a16z. Shout out to ★Komal Ahmad for helping with the event, and the Scoop Analytics team, including Brad Peters and Byron Scott for making sure the event went off without a hitch, and Ridge Ventures for providing the space (including AC, necessary in the recent heatwave!).

We had a new team member join Scoop Analytics 🐶! Well, really he's been a member of the team for awhile, but Byron Scott just moved back to the bay area, and TJ came with him. We had our first co-working day this week, and was excited to finally meet the four legged member of the team in person. Happy that SHACK15 allows pups in for working hours - they're great work friends, even if their computer skills are a bit ruff (pun intended)!
Excited to see the positive ripples that one of our founders, Janet Gehrmann, is making in the community!
