This week, Scouts from across the nation came together for the Fall edition of our semi-annual All Hands Meeting here in Boulder. All Hands Meetings are a time to focus on the future and how Scout is building for the long term. At 175 employees and counting, the focus on culture, connectivity, and collaboration was stronger than ever this week. We kicked off the festivities with our annual Scout Volunteer Day on Tuesday, where Scouts had the option to participate in a service day at one of five fantastic local organizations: Growing Gardens, EcoCycle, Boulder Civic Area, East Boulder Community Center, and Meals on Wheels, all while getting to know their colleagues and strengthening bonds within their teams. Then, throughout the week, we heard from team members across our many departments as they shared their knowledge and successes with the company as a whole, wrapping up each night with company-wide events. We would like to give a special thank you to our Markum Solar Farm landowners, Sara Brazelton and Jennifer Barefoot, for joining us at our team dinner last night!

This weekend, Scout sponsored Jack's Solar Garden and The Alliance for Collective Action's annual Harvest the Sun event. Scouts attended the celebration and enjoyed live music and appetizers made from this year's harvest under the solar panels while connecting with our community members and learning about the intersection of agrivoltaics and regenerative agriculture. Thank you to Jack's and the Alliance for putting on such a fantastic event!

To kick off Labor Day weekend, we made our annual trip to see our hometown Colorado Rockies last week, sharing good company at Coors Field, known for its offense-heavy games in Denver's altitude and thin air. Even though the Rockies didn't pull out the win, the 20-run game certainly lived up to the park's reputation!

A very heartfelt congratulations to John for this much-deserved step in his career. Over the past 3 years, John has served as our first-ever Chief Financial Officer, helping lead Scout through some of the most critical years of our evolution that have set us up for the growth and success we’re experiencing today and into the future.   John led us through our sale process, which culminated in our $1 billion acquisition by Brookfield in 2022. He built out our People and Culture team, helping solidify our culture and bolster our ability to hire the best talent in the industry. He helped optimize information flow and cross-collaboration between our many teams through a commitment to bettering our internal processes. I could go on.   John’s appointment as CEO of Deriva, part of our Brookfield family of portfolio companies, is as good a testament as any to the fantastic work he has done here. John will always be part of the Scout family, and an integral part of our history. I wish him all the success in his next chapter. Scout Clean Energy

This past weekend, six Scouts rode 68 miles and climbed over 5,300 feet in the B Strong Ride on mountain roads near Boulder, Colorado to support local cancer care organizations, Boulder Community Health Center for Integrative Care (CIC), Live By Living Foundation, and Camp Kesem at CU Boulder. Cancer has impacted the lives of so many of our fellow Scouts, families, and friends. Thank you to everyone who rose to the challenge of the ride and contributed to raising funds for a great cause!
