    If you’ve heard the rumors. It’s true. I’m leaving the day to day at Sendlane after Q4 and here’s why....👇 11 years ago.. I had a problem as a merchant and email marketer.. a need.. And we created a solution And in Sept of 2017, I decided to make that solution.. a business and went all in Over these past 7 years, it's been the most exciting and memorable journeys of my life. - From sitting in the first tiny office in San Diego (pictured below) - To our very first team member hire - Form hustling city to city for our very first fundraise - To supporting 1000’s of businesses It’s been a magical story And though it hasn’t always been roses and sunshine, it's been the very best education of my life Getting our name in the market as true competitors to multiple BILLION dollar companies, being talked about within their companies and watching them confused how some “tiny little startup” was challenging them. That is one of my most proud accomplishments And as it continues to evolve into the next generation of business, it’s different from what I have to offer, and what I need from Sendlane is different too. (That’s corporate talk for: I’m bored AF) We were able to recruit the smartest and brightest over time and I’ve been preparing them for the past year to step in and carry us into the next step of the journey. And they have my full faith that I believe they will make me proud That’s why at the end of Q4 - I’m here to share that I’m taking a step back from the day to day and exiting to a Board Member & Advisor What’s next for me? I’m off to scratch some much needed itching as an Entrepreneur! I’m not leaving the market, I’m leaning into doing more of what I love and over the past few years... I realized it was community and content. I started two new companies: Company #1: I started with Chase Dimond, a media company that is focused on the retention marketing community, while also supporting B2B eCommerce SaaS companies to advise and provide them with the media required to execute the community playbook Company #2: I’ve acquired Commerce Roundtable from Sendlane! And we’re merging in the ASOMpod! We decided it would be best to separate the event from the company if we wanted to execute the true vision as a community-focused event - with the community, for the community So I partnered with Nick Shackelford and several operators in the space as investors and we’re going to bring you 2 events next year- Miami and San Diego For all the Sendlaner’s past and present, our customers, our partners, our investors: Thank you for believing in our mission and believing in me. It has been the honor of a lifetime and I can’t wait to see what Sendlane’s future holds And to the competitors and haters, I adore you even more for being my fuel I exit today, proud with my black cap Viva la revolution.     I still remember the conversation from over 4+ years ago.. I had been watching a guy on social media sharing tips, tricks, and insights in email marketing… and he was speaking the same language I was! His name is Chase Dimond. Naturally, I reached out and said hello! And that started our friendship. At first, we started to talk here and there, we’d help each other out anytime we could, and over time, I was making drives on Friday’s to hang out and talk email and all things retention marketing. Earlier this year, Chase and I started talking about the lack of knowledge in this industry, the immaturity to the understanding of the depth of email and general retention marketing and we realized there was opportunity for us to step in to fill the void. Our mission: To provide the market with the most relevant insights on the rapidly changing email marketing landscape, from deliverability, to strategy, to AI…there was just so much to talk about. That’s why today, I’m excited to announce that Chase Dimond and I have partnered up and will be launching multiple ventures together, one highly focused on Retention marketing (specifically in email and sms marketing). First up: Send It! Podcast - a podcast for retention marketers in ecommerce, specifically in email and sms marketing. Our first episode is set to air tomorrow, where we discuss 2024 email data and the future of retention. For now, enjoy this short.. and we’ll be back to share the links to the new pod!
