Sherman Associates welcomes Mother Dough Bakery, its new commercial tenant in Minneapolis! This is the third location opened by the bakery and cafe run by award-winning restaurateur, David Fhima. Mother Dough is located at The Vicinity, Sherman's mixed-use development consisting of 122 residences and 7,400 SF of commercial space, and will serve as a unique amenity to residents living at The Vicinity as well as neighbors, working professionals, and visitors in the Mill District neighborhood. Mother Dough is next door to La Madre, the Mexican restaurant that opened just weeks ago at The Vicinity. Earlier this month, Sherman Associates team members volunteered at the 2024 Jimmy & Rosalynn Carter Work Project hosted by Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity at The Heights in St. Paul. The Carter Work Project launched Twin Cities Habitat’s construction at The Heights, the major redevelopment of the 112-acre former Hillcrest Golf Course. Sherman is the lead housing developer at The Heights, in partnership with Twin Cities Habitat and JO Companies, which aim to deliver more than $400 million in new housing.   TCH, JO, and Sherman are developing 1,000 new homes that will be a unique mix of housing for St. Paul's East Side community. Housing for all ages and all incomes will be available in a mixed-use, mixed-income, brand-new neighborhood. La Madre is located at The Vicinity, Sherman's mixed-use development consisting of 122 residences and 7,400 SF of commercial space, and will serve as a unique amenity to residents living at The Vicinity as well as residents and working professionals in the Mill District neighborhood. Sherman has a reputable multifamily portfolio in the Mill District that supports its commercial tenants like La Madre with a substantial customer base including Encore, East End, Ladder 260, and O2, as well as Sherman’s corporate headquarters in the J.I. Case Building.
