Helping the next generation to support a sustainable energy future! 💚 We are joining forces with Sustainable Development Solutions Network, in launching "Schools for Goal 7"! Together, we aim to inspire students (and their teachers!) worldwide about the vital role of energy in building resilient and sustainable societies. This collaboration builds on our ongoing partnership, including comprehensive education resources developed by the Global Schools Program and UNESCO, with support from Siemens Gamesa.

There are around 55,000 ships 🚢 in the maritime sector that run on fossil fuels, and e-Methanol is seen as one of the most important solutions to make these ships carbon neutral. We are working with European Energy on the Kassø project in Denmark, which is taking the first steps towards large-scale e-Methanol production, with the help our electrolyzer technology. It's a key step towards a carbon-neutral global shipping industry.

The North Sea holds huge potential to deliver great increases in clean energy. The Moray West project, off the coast of Scotland, will offset 1.1 million tons of CO2 emissions each year and provide enough renewable electricity for the equivalent of 1.3 million homes. 🏠 With our partners, we are driving energy resilience forward. If it can be done in the North Sea, it can be done anywhere.

Our expertise and collaboration in the Viking Link project sets the stage for a resilient energy future. A 765-kilometer, high-voltage interconnector - the world's longest direct current (DC) subsea cable - functions as an electrical superhighway which enables the exchange power between the British and Danish power grids. If it can be done in the North Sea, it can be done anywhere! 🌊

#TeamPurple talents have been taking on the world! 🌍 16 young talents attended the recent One Young World Summit 2024, where they came together with young leaders from around the world to exchange ideas, drive positive change, and look at how they can concretely create a better future for all. We hope the team have returned with even more motivation to help us address the ever-increasing energy demands of our world and make a difference in their communities and countries! 💜

With New York Climate Week calling for a focus on urgent, concrete climate action, we are demonstrating our commitment to a cleaner, more sustainable energy future, in New York 🗽 and beyond. Our high voltage transformers (seen here on their way to Brookhaven, New York) are a crucial part of the Sunrise Wind project and our first HVDC offshore grid connection in the US. #climateweeknyc

A 🚆 train from Houston, Texas journeyed over 1,400 miles to deliver our transformers to the Intermountain Power Project (IPP) in Delta, Utah. This project is transforming from coal to natural gas, enriched by long-term renewable energy storage using clean hydrogen. Witness the steps of energy transition in the making with the video below.
