"Tyran was so calm, kind, compassionate, and I could tell, an excellent nurse. She was thorough and vigilant and caught what could have been a bad wound infection early on. She continued to advocate for my mom throughout her admission," wrote her nominator. "Tyran gave my mom encouragement and dignity when she had never been more weak or confused in her life. She was a great communicator and collaborator with me and our family. She was happy to give us updates when we weren't with her. We truly felt like, for the first time since her accident, our mom was being taken care of. I was able to be at home with my kids, and I had peace of mind that she was in safe hands. #BEEAward recipient, Jocelyn Jude, CNA, made such an impact on a patient that she asked to speak to her supervisor! "One of the patients asked to talk to Jocelyn's clinical supervisor immediately after she left the room because she absolutely adored Jocelyn and said she was an angel sent from heaven.” 💗 Her nominator, Megan VanderWey, RN, said the patient went on and on about her compassionate care. “Doing something as simple as giving her a bath and helping put in her dentures made her feel 100% better. Recently, Silver Cross had the honor to collaborate with the Illinois Endoscopy Society to host an Advanced Endoscopy Conference for Doctors, Nurses, and Associates. On the first day of the conference, over 100 participants gathered at the Hyatt Lodge Conference Center to hear from various content experts, including Professor Laurent Palazzo, MD, from France and Patricia Henry, DO, from New Zealand. On day 2, over 70 participants observed 5 cases performed live by Dr. Ayub in our Endoscopy Suite and heard from 5 presenters on various Endoscopy topics.
