Thank you, Wisk, for hosting us at the Wisk Autonomy Lab alongside NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration! We’re thrilled to showcase how SkyGrid’s data and decision support services, such as our Ground-Based Traffic Surveillance system and Flight Plan Validation, are supporting Wisk’s operations and driving the airspace integration of Advanced Air Mobility. #SkyGrid #Wisk #AAM #AutonomousFlight
This week we hosted SkyGrid, a Boeing joint venture, in the Wisk Autonomy Lab to showcase how SkyGrid’s data and decision support capabilities can seamlessly integrate into Wisk's autonomous operations. For Advanced Air Mobility to take off, we need advanced airspace integration tools, and this collaboration with SkyGrid helps us support the rigorous validation of systems required to deliver safe and scalable certified autonomous air travel. Ongoing planning continues with NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration who also observed the demo, for joint Advanced Air Mobility testing. Thanks for joining us! 👋 #Demo | #AAM | #AutonomyLab | #NASA

Cybersecurity is the backbone of safe Advanced Air Mobility operations. New frameworks must be adapted by the industry to combat threats and ensure safe autonomous operations. Our new white paper, Closing the Gap: Addressing the Need for Comprehensive Cybersecurity in Advanced Air Mobility and Autonomous Aviation, analyzes risks in current AAM cybersecurity standards and what TSPs should do to keep their systems secure. We’re excited to announce the release of SkyGrid’s latest white paper: "Closing the Gap: Addressing the Need for Comprehensive Cybersecurity in Advanced Air Mobility and Autonomous Aviation.” As AAM and autonomous aviation evolve, ensuring robust cybersecurity is more critical than ever. In this white paper, we explore: - The necessity of addressing cybersecurity gaps in aviation standards for AAM operations. - The role of Third-Party Service Providers (TSPs) within the AAM ecosystem. - The significance of adopting dynamic frameworks such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. More on why this document is vital to keeping AAM operations safe and secure: https://hubs.la/Q034k24Q0 #SkyGrid #TSP #AAM #Cyber

SkyGrid’s Concept of Operations is the first commercial blueprint detailing how third-party services can enable safe, scalable airspace integration under current VFR and IFR operations. As CEO Jia Xu explains, AAM needs high-assurance digital infrastructure to support low-altitude air traffic management. Our ground-based system provides operators with the situational awareness, planning support, and real-time data needed to make AAM a reality. Revolution.Aero spotlights how SkyGrid's #ConOps serves as a blueprint for making this future of autonomous flight possible. #SkyGrid #TSP #AAM
Late last year, Boeing’s joint venture SkyGrid released its blueprint for AAM operations. The plan sets out how SkyGrid’s ground-based system will deliver high-assurance third-party services to assist airspace integration of AAM and increasingly autonomous aviation under current Visual Flight Rules (VFR) and Instrument Flight Rules (IFR). As the first commercial third-party service provider to release a concept of operations (ConOps) focused on how approved services will support AAM, SkyGrid’s CEO Jia Xu tells us the firm is addressing the “elephant in the room”. That elephant being the absence of scalable infrastructure for low-altitude air traffic management. “I mentioned this to my team recently: we always say, it doesn’t hurt to write things down,” says Xu. “ConOps is a bit of a strange thing in the sense that it’s often used in a defence context before AAM came along and started to make use of the term. This is because the defence context is usually preoccupied with large, complex systems of systems and they have to understand how all these pieces fit together.” Read full: https://lnkd.in/eBQWmaiT
