Thank you to everyone who joined us for our SLMBR PRTY FAVES Tribeca Film Festival celebration on Wednesday night. Every Tribeca for the past few years we’ve selected three of our favorite films from the program, shared them with our community, and celebrated with the filmmakers. This year’s Faves were Nepotism, Baby!, A Family Guide To Hunting, and Smile, God Loves You. Congrats to the filmmakers on a successful Tribeca! We can’t wait to see what you do next. 

“nutmeg are drawn to the great outdoors, naturally chasing “type-two fun” and “character building” situations. “In our youth, this meant exploring the outdoors, whether biking, skiing or hiking,” explains Loucas. “Now, it means doing that but also making films. This is the ideal zone for personal and creative growth, and it often bonds us closer to each other and our crew. We’ve been dripping in sweat, lugging gear up mountains, and freezing our hands off, waiting for the perfect shot. Extremely excited to share that we’re welcoming director duo nutmeg to our team! A “nutmeg” is an absolutely savage move in soccer where a player kicks the ball through their opponents legs. Directors Andres and Loucas met playing soccer as kids, and their moniker represents their innate edginess and playful energy. We can’t wait to get into it with these two. “Casting for this project was especially meaningful because we were searching for Latino Spanish speakers (my native language) right here at home, in New York City. As we got further into production, we realised there were people from our cast who had actually been organ donors, which gave an added purpose and authenticity to the project.” Filmed in both English and Spanish, SLMBR PRTY director Victoria Rivera follows the heartwarming story of a boy who encourages more people to sign up as organ donors in “More Donors, More Hope.” Victoria Rivera directs the new multi-media campaign for HRSA and Crosby Marketing Communications, just in time for #DonateLifeMonth. Our first ever Movie Trivia Night was so much fun! The trivia was *challenging*, the pizza and beer hit the spot, and there was a moment when the whole room burst into singing “Dreamgirls” in unison. Truly KOing 2024 in the best way possible with host Shayana Filmore. Thank you to our community for braving the weather...we sold out and packed the room at (women-owned!) TALEA Beer Co.
