Child and Adolescent Therapist The Child and Adolescent Therapist provides client-centered therapeutic services to address the client’s mental, emotional, and behavioral health goals through coordinated activities and referrals. This position provides mental health services to LGBTQ youth clients ages 10 and up and their families within the school setting in Prince George's County and within the agency both virtually and in-person. Manager of Case Management The Manager of Case Management, which provides oversight to our Youth Transitional Housing (TH), Extended Transitional Housing (ETH), and Department of Health Housing programs. It’s week 3 of Pride Month and we’re here to spotlight an amazing organization in the DMV area! SMYAL (Supporting and Mentoring Youth Advocates and Leaders) supports and empowers lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth in the Washington, DC, metropolitan region. Through youth leadership, SMYAL creates opportunities for LGBTQ youth to build self-confidence, develop critical life skills, and engage their peers and community through service and advocacy. Committed to social change, SMYAL builds, sustains, and advocates for programs, policies, and services that LGBTQ youth need as they grow into adulthood. The School Based Child and Adolescent Therapist provides client centered therapeutic services to address the client’s mental, emotional, and behavioral health goals through coordinated activities and referrals. The therapist also works to connect youth to holistic supportive services with the goal of developing skills that lead to sustainable mental health goals. This position provides mental health services to LGBTQ youth clients ages 10 and up and their families within the school setting in Prince George's County and within the agency both virtually and in-person. The Director of Youth Housing, which provides oversight to our Transitional Housing (TH), Extended Transitional Housing (ETH), Department of Health Housing, and Rapid Rehousing, and Street Outreach programs. The Director of Youth Housing takes a leadership role in ensuring the overall administration, compliance, coordination, and service delivery of the programs. As part of SMYAL’s leadership team, the Director collaborates with SMYAL staff on projects, organization expansion and management, and development events.
