    Want to know the man behind Sol Insights? Meet Phillip Scroggin, Founder and Managing Director. 🌞 Phillip started Sol Insights in 2020 to help small and mid-size businesses have access to the same data best-practices that big businesses use to scale. 📈 He has spent his entire career in business development, even back to summers in high school helping to sell for his family's exterminating business. 🗞 Phillip has been a speaker at the The GRIT Conference (2023), taught business courses in partnership with the City of Savannah, and serves as First Vice President on the board of Buy Local Savannah. 🎓 Phillip is a Certified Professional Marketer with the American Marketing Association, an honors graduate from Parker College of Business-Georgia Southern University, 2022 graduate of Leadership Bryan County GA, and holds several digital marketing industry certifications. 🥁 Personally, Phillip has a bunch of interests from reading and family-time, to exercise, and drumming.     In 2024, we will have limited resources and lots of competition. What’s your strategy? I go to Atlanta Braves games once every couple of years. I expect that the Braves baseball org will treat me well as I will spend around $1000 every 5-7 years with them. But should the Braves prioritize their limited resources on making me happy the same way they do their season ticket holders? If their goal is long-term profits, the Atlanta Braves should not treat me with the same degree of service as the season ticket holder. Especially in small business, we instinctively want to make everyone happy and grow through a reputation of excellent customer experiences. I too strive for that. But the mistake is giving your bottom 1% customer the same CX ceiling ⬆️ as your top 1% customer. Is this the way you treat your personal relationships? Remember you are limited. Your company is limited. Wisdom would say prioritize accordingly. At Sol Insights, I strive to have a high customer service floor, but not every client gets my ceiling. The more a business spends with me, the more frequently they work with me, and the more recently they have hired me to serve them helps me prioritize who gets my CX ceiling. IMO, this approach is the future. Many of us are trying to win with economies of scale and operational proficiency (Walmart). Others are trying to have the most desireable product (Apple). In the data-rich market of markets where everyone wants to find their own tailored experiences, I recommend the customer-centric, data-driven approach.
