On Tuesday August 20th, ST Engineering US HQ had the pleasure to visit Children's National Hospital, the Washington DC chapter of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals to present the $35,000 check as part of our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility and our promise to support the MOVEment beneficiaries in the US. We were represented by CK Soh Chief Financial Officer, Melissa Locrasto, VP Human Resources, Rula Malky, Senior Manager Corporate Communications and Roxanne Calloway, HR Partner. We were met and given a tour of the hospital by Kejdi Abazi, Associate Director of Development, Center for Cancer and Immunology, where were shown the oncology center and aftercare treatment center, diabetes center, ER and the Healing Garden. Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C., was ranked #5 in the nation on the U.S. News & World Report 2023-24 Best Children’s Hospitals annual rankings. This marks the seventh straight year Children’s National has made the Honor Roll list. The Honor Roll is a distinction awarded to only 10 children’s hospitals nationwide. This visit marks our second donation this year as part of our annual MOVEment campaign. We look forward to continuing our efforts to give back to the community next year! #STEngineering #CorporateSocialResponsibility #DoingGood

Celebrating National Aviation Day with Industry Leaders! ✈️ Today, we had the pleasure of hosting Ed Murray, VP of Government Affairs at ST Engineering, Ryan Lee and Erich Schmitt of VT Mobile Aerospace Engineering and ST Engineering. They toured two of our aviation programs, making stops at Bryant Career Technical Center to visit Mr. Watson’s students and Raiders Rain to meet with Mr. Sopha and Mr. Booze’s students. It was an incredible opportunity to discuss our existing partnership and explore ways to take it to the next level. They shared valuable insights with our students about the vast career opportunities in aviation and the importance of challenging themselves in everything they do. It’s inspiring to see industry leaders invest so much time in these future A&P Mechanics, and we look forward to continuing our work together to open doors for the students of Mobile County Public Schools. Thank you Kellie Snodgrass and Kayla Byrne for your endless effort for workforce in Mobile! #NationalAviationDay #AcademiesOfMobile

In celebration of Women's Equality Month, ST Engineering in North America is thrilled to spotlight some of the incredible women who've transformed our company and the wider innovation advancement world. These women are making waves in science, technology, and engineering. Our first installment showcases these ladies: Jessica Poutous, a software engineer at Aethon, believes recognition should be based on capabilities and accomplishments, not gender. She values being seen as a coworker, not just a "woman in the workplace," and prioritizes achievement over gender. Outside of work, Jessica advocates for work-life balance and runs a nonprofit farm animal sanctuary. Melissa Hughes, Supervisor shipping & receiving and warehouse, at Kidron, draws inspiration from her mother, who broke traditional gender molds and achieved success through determination and hard work. Melissa prioritizes self-care and work-life balance, and believes supporting caregivers is key to a sustainable work environment. She advocates for promoting women from within, providing resources and support, to create a more diverse and successful leadership team. Karen Gaines, Corporate Payroll Manager at ST Engineering Hackney, defines women's equality as equal rights, responsibilities, and opportunities for all, emphasizing inclusivity and respect for individual experiences. She advocates for strategies to overcome unconscious biases, including awareness training, leading by example, and creating safe learning spaces. Karen also recommends sharing resources, celebrating diversity-themed months, and holding leaders accountable for promoting inclusivity. Jennifer Kelly, Procurement Specialist at Aethon, believes women's equality in the workplace starts with equal pay for equal work, but also requires support and guidance for women to reach their full potential. She advocates for a company-wide mentoring program to connect women across business units for shared experiences, advice, and learning. Jennifer draws inspiration from her mother, a strong role model who embodies a balance of work ethic, faith, and personal balance. Come back to this page often as we continue to celebrate our female force during the month of August. #STEngineering #Femaleforce #WomensEquality
