    Early voting for the November 5 Election begins tomorrow in St. Tammany Parish! From October 18 to 29, voters will be able to cast their ballots at the following locations: 📌 St. Tammany Justice Center Parking Garage 601 N. Jefferson Ave., Covington 📌 Parish Council Chambers 21490 Koop Dr., Mandeville 📌 Towers Building – First Floor 520 Old Spanish Trail. Slidell Locations will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily, excluding Sunday, October 20, as well as Sunday, October 27. For more details, please visit geauxvote.org

    Oct. 15 Update: GOOD NEWS: tonight’s scheduled water service interruption and related boil water advisory have been cancelled, as our team completed the repairs without impacting our citizens. *Original Post Follows* On Tuesday, October 15, 2024 beginning at 9 p.m., the Department of Utilities will shut off water service to customers along LA 59 between I-12 and Hoffman Rd. for a water main repair. Please prepare to be without water service for several hours over the night of October 15. Once water service is restored, out of an abundance of caution and in accordance with Department of Health and Hospital regulations, a precautionary BOIL ADVISORY will be issued for the affected customers. If you have any questions, please call the Department of Utilities at (985) 276-6400.

    Congratulations to Troop 8720's Layla Peek for completing her Eagle Scout project at our Camp Salmen Nature Park in Slidell! Troop members and Trace Ranger David Williams built three bat houses that will benefit the endangered "Little Brown Bat" species! Additionally, the iconic Camp Salmen logo has also been restored to pristine condition with a fresh coat of paint! Take a Fall staycation this weekend and view all of the latest improvements to our historic park!

    Congratulations to our Employee of the Month: Amanda Osborn-Kurall! Amanda Osborn-Kurall began her employment with St. Tammany Parish Government in 2018 and currently serves as the Department of Technology's Office Administrator. Amanda was critical in getting our essential personnel up and running at the Emergency Operations Center for Hurricane Francine. She ensured all team members had a sufficient work space to remain productive throughout the emergency activation. Amanda is a selfless and resourceful employee who performs her duties on a daily basis in a professional manner and we are very fortunate to have Amanda as part of Team Tammany! Thank you, Amanda, for your service and commitment to St. Tammany Parish!
