Stefano Pieroni, Business Development Director for Starlight in Italy spoke with NPM Europe (New Project Media) this month to explore the new regulatory frameworks and recent government decrees affecting renewable energy development in the region. The Italian government has introduced new criteria for renewable energy projects and imposed restrictions on large-scale solar developments on agricultural land, aiming to balance environmental conservation with ambitious renewable energy targets. Despite these changes, Starlight is well-positioned to continue its growth in the sector. Starlight’s strategic focus on agrivoltaics aligns perfectly with the new regulations, minimising any potential impact on new projects. Additionally, the recent acquisition of Entrope has expanded Starlight’s team to over 50 professionals, significantly enhancing development capabilities. As a result, the company is well equipped to navigate the evolving regulatory landscape. Stefano Pieroni commented: “Only professional players and only very good projects will survive. In this context, as Starlight, we are very well positioned to continue to thrive, especially after the recent acquisition of Entrope, which has brought internally a significant set of core development skills.” Find the full article linked: https://lnkd.in/e4ggCYnK And find more information on Starlight’s strategic approach to business development through the link: https://lnkd.in/eSM453BE | #RenewableEnergy | #Agrivoltaics | #ItalianRenewables | #SustainableDevelopment | #EnergyInnovation | #RegulatoryCompliance | #EnvironmentalConservation | #IndustryLeader |
