Season 3 of It Happens at STN is here! Excited to bring you a new segment, “Leading in the Moment” featuring CEO Jackson Fonder and COO Monique Lopez with special guests Marcia L. Mintz, MBA and Patrick (Fitz) Fitzhugh. And, of course, Helpings Café at UMOM New Day Centers is back with delicious catering for in-person attendees!

We’re excited to announce that season three of ‘It Happens at STN’ is expanding its mission to uplift the Phoenix community by adding two powerful new segments. First up is 'Leading in the Moment,' where UMOM New Day Centers’ leadership team will dive into strategies that make communities and organizations thrive. Our second addition, 'The Wellness Collective,' in collaboration with Mercy Care, will focus on women's healthcare, including crucial discussions on maternal morbidity rates and racial disparities in healthcare. Meet Brandon Michaels, CEO of OneAZ Credit Union. In just under a year, he's already making strides to address systemic issues in Phoenix. “Using our various perspectives and industries to solve problems together is what makes a community a community,” said Michaels. Growing up in a tight-knit community in the Bay Area and influenced by his mother and grandmother, Michaels learned the value of empathy and giving back. Helpings Cafe offers delicious food with a mission. As part of UMOM New Day Centers’ Homegrown Training program, the cafe provides job training for those experiencing homelessness, helping them re-enter the workforce. Their impact has the ability to be even larger with their recent expansion into catering weddings and large galas. “Using our services, you’re giving back to the community,” said Edwin Donnovan-Jimenez.
