His career includes leadership positions at DuPont Capital Management and The Vanguard Group, where he honed his expertise in financial modeling and investment strategies.   A recognized leader in finance, Rob has been named CFO of the Year by the Philadelphia Business Journal and is actively involved with Financial Executives International, The CFO Alliance, and the Association for Corporate Growth. A proud Villanova alumnus, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and an MBA in International Finance. Walker brings with him an impressive 17-year tenure at the Environmental Defense Fund, where he led interdisciplinary teams comprising scientists, economists, lawyers, and policy experts to advance innovative climate and energy transition solutions. He also serves as an adjunct professor of international climate law at Vermont Law and Graduate School, as well as a board member of the Institute for Sustainable Communities, steering committee member of the Bluegreen Alliance, and member of the Early Years Climate Action Task Force. "Derek brings the vision, experience, and ability to engage with stakeholders that are needed for this critical role," said Geoff Parker, faculty director of the Irving Institute.
