The Board of Trustees of Phillips Theological Seminary named the Rev. F. Douglas Powe, Jr., Ph.D. as the school’s next President. Dr. Powe comes to Phillips from Wesley Theological Seminary where he currently serves as Director of The Lewis Center for Church Leadership and the James C. Logan Chair in Evangelism. Besides leading the Lewis Center at Wesley, Powe also served as Professor of Evangelism and Urban Ministry. Iona University named Susan G. Fiore as its new General Counsel. Fiore brings diverse legal experience in higher education, having served most recently as executive legal counsel, labor designee and chief of staff to the president and leadership team of Bronx Community College within CUNY. She has a strong background as both a prosecutor and trial attorney in private practice and public service, including with the New York County District Attorney’s Office. Wilson College named Joseph Ryan, MBA, MSBA, as the new Vice President for Finance and Administration. Ryan brings nearly 20 years of experience in higher education with strengths in key areas of strategic leadership, budget and financial planning, operations, and resource management.
