Thank you Endia DeCordova, MBA, President David Wilson, and the entire Morgan State University family for allowing us, Strada Education Foundation, to be a partner in the great work that you are doing to develop the next generation of leaders.
Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Morgan State University and Executive Director of the MSU Foundation
Morgan State University Homecoming 2024 was one to remember! 🎉🧡💙🐻 I’ll start with our 40th Annual Homecoming Gala! The theme, "Morgan Magic," was felt throughout the evening as we transformed the atmosphere into a phenomenal celebration. With a full house and the support of our generous community, we raised critical funds to support Morgan, including an incredible $1 million pledge from Earvin “Magic” Johnson to establish an endowed Entrepreneurship Professorship within the Earl G. Graves School of Business & Management. This gift will empower our students and future entrepreneurs! 💙🧡 Thank you to all the alumni, sponsors, and friends who came together to make the 40th annual event unforgettable. Your support continues to uplift our students and strengthen our legacy of excellence. #MorganHomecoming2024 #BearPride #EntrepreneurshipEndowment #LegacyOfExcellence Donna Ford Daryl A. Thank you #BravenSummit for having Ruth Watkins! 👏 It was an insightful conversation discussing ways to support college students – especially those who are first in their families to go to college and/or from underrepresented backgrounds – on their quest to access quality internships.

Spending time to support the development of the next generation of leaders and our HBCU partner institutions...Priceless! At Grambling State University it is very clear that leadership and family (GramFam) are a significant part of the ingredients to their success. Our time on campus this week started with GramFam experiences (i.e. dinner, leadership development discussions and a series of interviews on what success means). We then participated in a Candid Conversation focused on key tips that students should consider when meeting with potential employers, securing internships and getting the start to a career pathway opportunity. Thanks to the great folks at Foot Locker for leading that discussion. We then participated in a panel discussion with #GramblingState President Martin Lemelle, Provost Dr. Connie Walton, Daryl A. Graham and Damien Padilla focused on the importance of leadership development, student success, and connecting industry and educators to increase economic mobility for our students. We closed the time on campus with a highly impactful Career Fair led by Antoinette Livingston and Daphne Tolliver. Thank you for including us, Strada Education Foundation, in this wonderful experience.
