During the month of November we will be highlighting stories of gratitude from our team. “‘Gratitude can transform common days into thanksgivings, turn routine jobs into joy, and change ordinary opportunities into blessings.’ - William Arthur Ward Working as part of a team here at Summertown Metals, I find the truth behind these words written by the Author. I am grateful to my manager and team to welcome me, support me and to have the faith in my abilities to grant me the opportunity to learn new skills to in turn support their efforts every single day.” - Traci, Customer Engagement Specialist

During the month of November we will be highlighting stories of gratitude from our team. “Many years ago when I was a young man working as a production supervisor on 1st shift, my counterpart on 2nd shift was talking to me one evening before I was about to leave and he said ‘Bill, would you please say a prayer for me tonight when you go to bed?’ So I leaned in and looked at him with a concerned posture and said to him ‘I sure will, Bob. What’s wrong?’ He smiled and said ‘Nothing at all but I need your prayer and you need to practice.’ Often, the little things in life matter. We all need prayer and we all need to practice.” - Bill, Shipping Manager

During the month of November we will be highlighting stories of gratitude from our team. "I am extremely grateful for Summertown Metals for giving me the opportunity to have a career while being in the Hope Center. When I first started working with Summertown Metals I was still a resident at the Hope Center and it was my vocational training assignment and now almost 3 years later I have made that vocational training my career and I am forever grateful they gave me an opportunity that not very many other employers would give someone still in a treatment facility. I just want to say thank you for that and I will forever be grateful for the opportunity!!" - Summer, Barndominium Customer Service

During the month of November we will be highlighting stories of gratitude from our team. “Early on in my time with Summertown Metals, my wife and I went through the rollercoaster of having our third child. It was an absolutely wonderful awful experience, but we were able to bring him home healthy and happy. Unfortunately, midway through his third week at home he got very sick with a cough that wouldn't go away. Through a series of events, I was left without a vehicle that week, and my wife got stuck at the hospital while he was being treated for RSV. I had told a coworker about my situation, who told her boss, who told his boss. Before the day was over, I was sent home in a company vehicle with the rest of the week off paid so I could care for my children at home during this rough time. I never asked for any help, but Summertown Metals gave it willingly and without hesitation. I'll never forget it.” - Brian, IT Department Manager

Just as National Truck Driver Appreciation Week came to a close last week, we learned that one of our own drivers—Barry Bivens—passed away unexpectedly. Barry will be missed greatly by both his immediate and work family, with many members of our team attending his service in Lawrenceburg today. We invite you to join us in prayer for his family and coworkers. Thank you, Barry, for your service in the U.S. Air Force to our country and to Summertown Metals. You will be missed. https://lnkd.in/esD-Q8mE
