🎉Sundt's renovation of the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club was recognized as a finalist for a Real Estate Development (RED) Award in the Redevelopment Project of the Year category! The renovation preserved the Biltmore's iconic architecture while enhancing amenities. The project, completed in two phases, introduced new member facilities, a restaurant, rooftop lounge, event spaces and resort-style landscaping. Honoring the site's legacy, Sundt used board-form concrete to blend modern and historic elements seamlessly. We're thrilled for this recognition from AZ Big Media, and a huge shoutout to our team for their partnership on this successful project: JDM Partners, Douglas Fredrikson Architects, Canyon State Electric, Tempe Mechanical, Sun Valley Masonry and Aspen Construction.

Meet Paul Larson, Sundt's newest craft training instructor! 🎉 Paul joined our Craft Workforce Development team to spearhead the industrial ironworker apprenticeship program. His journey with Sundt began through Central Arizona College’s heavy equipment operation program, leading to his first role as a laborer on industrial projects in Phoenix. Growing up in a local Arizona agricultural community, Paul was introduced to the skilled trades early through career and technical education (CTE) programs in high school. Over the past six years, he's sharpened his skills and is ready to pass on his knowledge to the next generation of #SkilledBuilders. His advice? 💡 “When you dedicate your time to bettering your life and learning a new skill, you’ll reap both personal and professional rewards. Invest in yourself—and do it with a great company like Sundt.” Welcome to the team, Paul!

💧 Do you know how your water is treated? Last month, Sundt's project team from the Gilbert North Water Treatment Plant (NWTP) brought the process to life at Maricopa County’s Southeast Regional Library. In partnership with the AZ Water Association’s K-12 outreach committee, the team guided elementary students through a hands-on experiment, transforming dirty water into clean water—just like at the Gilbert NWTP! Huge shoutout to Project Engineer Miller Browne for leading the charge, along with Project Director Lourdes Lopez Rodriguez, Senior Project Manager Mike Schlabach, and the Town of Gilbert’s Senior CIP Project Manager Sarah Rogowski. Special thanks to NWTP Operations Manager Robert Braymiller.

The Sundt Foundation is excited to share a grant update! Last year, our Pacific Northwest team presented PAX Learning Center with a quarterly grant, which was used to fund essential programs that support youth and adults in their educational goals. "The generous funding from the Sundt Foundation enabled us to purchase over 300 practice tests and more than 200 official GED exams, which are critical components of our program. These tests represent the most significant cost for students and are essential for them to earn their GED successfully. The grant money was also used to support our GED classes by purchasing classroom supplies. These resources help keep our program free for low-income students who might otherwise struggle to afford necessary materials." Since its founding in 1999, the Sundt Foundation has awarded over $17 million in grants to charitable organizations across the United States. 💧 Sundt's concrete self-perform team led the charge at the Cave Creek Water Reclamation Plant Rehabilitation project last month, laying the foundations for a series of exciting upgrades. This is just one of the initial steps in a transformative project for the City of Phoenix, which was designed by Black & Veatch and is now being constructed by Sundt's Water & Wastewater Group. The scope includes retrofitting existing structures to accommodate advanced treatment process equipment and the construction of brand-new facilities. Combined, they'll bring this state-of-the-art water reclamation plant to life. Pictured, is Sundt's concrete team preparing the foundation for new membrane bioreactor (MBR) basins and pump facilities. The Cave Creek Water Reclamation Plant Rehabilitation project will reopen the facility and provide the area with eight million gallons per day (MGD) of water for reuse. Initially in operation in 2002 and shutdown in 2009 due to low population, the plant will now support development north of the Loop 101 Freeway.
