“I never connected my femininity to my breasts. But after the double mastectomy…I felt really disconnected to my body,” said actor Olivia Munn in part 2 of her interview on Komen’s Real Pink Podcast. On this episode, Olivia discusses more about her breast cancer experience, including how her mother and husband John Mulaney became best friends while caring for her, meeting “the beautiful and supportive” breast cancer community, why she decided to go public with her story, and her deeply personal campaign with SKIMS and Komen to encourage everyone to take charge of their breast health. Listen to part 2: https://bit.ly/4hoSDxT From October 23-31, 2024, SKIMS will donate to Komen 10% of the retail sales price for each bra sold in SKIMS stores and on Skims.com, excluding bralettes. (U.S. only).

A force united by a promise to end breast cancer, funding groundbreaking research, community health & advocacy programs.
About us
In 1980, Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan, that she would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever. Two years later, that promise became the Susan G. Komen® organization and the beginning of a global movement. For over 40 years, we've led the way funding groundbreaking research, community health initiatives and advocacy programs in local communities across the U.S. and in more than 30 countries. And with your help, we’ll continue pushing for progress to end breast cancer every day, until it’s a thing of the past. Komen mission staff member Alex Erwin explains that though we know how to reduce the risk of breast cancer, we don't know how to prevent it entirely.

For decades, breast cancer research has long been limited by the lack of diversity in data. Each person’s breast cancer experience tells their own story and is one piece of the puzzle of finding the cures for breast cancer. This is one of the reasons why Susan G. Komen’s ShareForCures research registry was created. This research registry offers people who have been diagnosed with breast cancer a way to participate in research. https://lnkd.in/eVD2eUHf
