Check out this incredible video from the Women of Achievement Awards last Friday! The video includes SWCRC president, Ronald Hinrichs, valued partner & event sponsor, Barbara Rykwalder from DTE Energy , and Kirstie Staelens from Enbridge (a nominee for the Distinguished Young Woman Award)! Thank you, Kirstie, for the video!
This year I was a contender for the “Distinguished Young Women Award” at the Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber of Commerce annual “Women of Achievement Awards.” Emceed by Fox2 News anchor Taryn Asher, this celebration honors women in business and inspires generational leadership within SE Michigan. It is truly one of my favorite celebrations and I appreciate the chambers unwavering commitment to fostering a community of female empowerment. Nominations are open for next year’s celebration at SWCRC.com/woa25 to be held on 10/10/25! Special thanks to my sister Jasmine Staelens for capturing my first #LinkedIn video where as I absolutely do not possess the skillset 😂 Also, chamber President Ronald Hinrichs and DTE Manager Barbara Rykwalder for being good sports and participating. #WomenInLeadership #Representation #WayneCounty #SEMichigan

This week Southern Wayne County Regional Chamber president Ron Hinrichs joined Chamber board chairman Louis Piszker of Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency, Jazmine Danci of the Downriver Community Conference, and several community and regional leaders including Romulus Mayor Robert McCraight for Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer's state budget signing ceremony. The fiscal year 2024 and 25 state budget includes several millions of dollars to fund #Downriver infrastructure projects and economic development programs. We are very grateful for the investment this budget makes into communities like Southgate, Taylor, Romulus, Brownstown, and riverfront economic development projects with the Downriver Community Conference. #ItsHappeningDownriver
