What does it take to be a trend buster? In this article for National Endowment for the Arts, Tessitura President & CEO Andrew Recinos reflects on the Survey of Public Participation in the Arts and how some trend-busting arts organizations are increasing attendance even as audiences decline nationally. Andrew identifies two philosophies for increasing arts participation, Go Broad or Go Deep, and shares examples of organizations intentionally pursuing these approaches to achieve innovative success. 🔗 Read the article here: https://lnkd.in/ej8EB4V7

Tuesday was a fun filled and interesting day in Bristol at We The Curious to participate in our Tessitura Wales and South West England community meet up. Thank you to our co-chair Kirsty Alexander from Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales and Don Smith from Mayflower Theatre for pulling together a great agenda and discussion topics. Great to see We The Curious now fully open and packed with visitors. I was so lucky to be there for our Product Marketing Manager's Ellie Griffiths road map session. Wonderful to share highlights of 'now' and 'next' in the pipeline. Our award winning community has been such a central part of Tessitura since day 1, with meet ups and conferences taking part across the globe. Taking part in these events either virtually or in person are great ways to collaborate and sharing learnings. At this meeting we had a full spread of representatives from Canolfan Mileniwm Cymru | Wales Millennium Centre, Welsh National Opera Cenedlaethol Cymru, Theatre Royal Plymouth, Mayflower Theatre, BH Live, We The Curious & Amgueddfa Cymru – Museum Wales. We discussed topics such websites, the latest highlights in the latest releases and analytics. A great and productive afternoon in lovely Bristol. Plus I got the chance to catch up with the amazing Donna Speed MBA the CEO of We The Curious who is always insightful and inspiring to spend time with.

Kerry and Claire from our team were honoured to join the Nordic community meetup last month, hosted by Det Kongelige Teater (Royal Danish Theatre) in Copenhagen and attended by close to 50 arts and cultural professionals from the region. Following an evening tour and dinner, a full day of sessions was opened with the keynote by 💥Stine Ringvig Marsal💥, Founder & CEO, Experience Management Community & Consult. From data to front of house, analytics to marketing automation, this was an inspiring day of learning and discussions. Special thanks to Louise Mie Vestford, Vivi Geisler Larsen and everyone from the #RoyalDanishTheatre team, as well as all the presenters and attendees who participated. Also thanks to #TeamTessitura’s Claire Zammit and Gill Tasker for your work with the Tessitura community.
