Lega Serie A participated in Leaders in Sport's “Leaders Week London”, one of the world's leading events in the fields of marketing and sports business, which took place at the iconic setting of Allianz Stadium, Twickenham, in London on 16 and 17 October. On Wednesday, Lega Serie A Marketing and Commercial Director Michele Ciccarese spoke on a panel titled "Virtual Advertising: Transformative Technology, Real Revenues" alongside Massimo Magrì from TGI Sport, Tabea Wagner from the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga and David Cushnan from Leaders in Sport, to illustrate how virtual advertising can help a company increase revenues and expand its business model. Also present at the event were two Lega Serie A ambassadors, Marco Materazzi and Gianfranco Zola, who took part in a Meet & Greet and a press conference with Michele Ciccarese entitled: "A Symphony of Calcio: The Serie A Journey through Passion, Innovation, and Made In Italy". On Thursday, after participating in Leaders in Sport, ambassadors Materazzi and Zola paid an institutional visit alongside a delegation from Lega Serie A to the residence of His Excellency the Italian Ambassador in London, Inigo Lambertini.

As a week, which has seen many of our senior management team from around the world come together, draws to an end we reflect on our involvement at Leaders in Sport, London. Attracting 3,000 attendees from the global sports industry at the Allianz Stadium in Twickenham, it was a productive networking and business opportunity for TGI Sport, led by our Global CEO Martin Jolly. As a main sponsor of the conference, we were also delighted to host our own panel session looking at the commercial revenue opportunities and growth of the virtual advertising industry. A huge thank you to Tabea Wagner from DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga and Michele Ciccarese from Lega Serie A, for their fantastic contribution during this session as they joined Massimo Magrì, TGI Sport’s Chief Commercial Officer, on stage in front of a packed audience. It was wonderful to hear from both Tabea and Michele, two of European football’s commercial leaders who have been at the forefront of adopting virtual advertising across the sport. Their confirmation of the reliability of TGI’s technology and its ability to increase revenues, validates the growth strategy we are implementing globally.

The Big 12 will incorporate our state-of-the-art LED systems into AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas where the Dr Pepper Big 12 Football Championship will be played on 7 December between the two highest-finishing teams in the Conference. Over the past month, during the FIFA international break, we successfully virtualised both LED signage and 3D carpets across all 10 matches played in South American countries as part of the FIFA 2026 World Cup Qualifiers. This resulted in 14 feeds, all managed remotely from our production hubs in Italy and Toronto. In addition, we delivered 250 meters of conventional LED signage for the FIFA 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, where Chile’s national team hosted their matches.
