Founded in 1971, The Architectural Team is driven by a commitment to exceptional design and an unyielding focus on achieving client objectives. The firm has developed an extensive portfolio that includes a broad range of building types and programs, earning more than 200 awards for design excellence. While our work has been honored with many awards, we are most proud of our client’s successes and our many long-standing relationships that account for 85 percent of our repeat business. The firm’s principals and project managers work directly with clients, developing a collaborative and participatory team approach.     Located just minutes from historic downtown Bedford, MA, The Residence at Bedford is a new 91,000 square foot senior living community. Sited in a residential neighborhood with the Minuteman Bike and Walking Path behind, the community is specifically designed to complement the surrounding homes and allow public and residential access to the trail. The development houses 92 one and two-bedroom units with 66 units dedicated to assisted living residents and 26 units for memory care. The modern farmhouse-inspired design is realized through crisp white siding with board and batten accents and covered porches with contrasting dark gray metal roofs. Courtyards create indoor and outdoor connections while expansive areas with raised garden beds allow residents to nurture their own gardens. LCB Senior Living, LLC

    TAT Interiors | The completion of The Stone Mill marks the transformation of a historic mill in Lawrence, MA into an all-electric mixed-income multifamily community. The interior design approach weaves a modern, functional aesthetic with historic elements such as the original cast iron columns, heavy timber beams, wood ceiling deck, and shiplap siding details. Residents enjoy a multitude of on-site amenities including an expansive resident lounge and kitchen, a billiards room, a fitness center, a children’s playroom, work-from-home pods, a historic mill exhibit room, and access to an outdoor patio.     “We believe Stone Mill Lofts is one of the most significant projects to result from our longstanding partnership with WinnDevelopment because it sets a new standard for how historic preservation and adaptive reuse can address the affordable housing crisis and climate change at the same time. This is the future of historic adaptive reuse, and we’re honored to be a part of this story.” - Scott Maenpaa, TAT Project Manager. The Stone Mill is one of the first all-electric mixed-income multifamily communities in Massachusetts. The $39.2 million adaptive reuse development has transformed the oldest mill in Lawrence into affordable housing offering 86 one-, two-, or three-bedroom units. The sustainable design restored the building’s historic granite stone exterior and slate roof, sourced from regional quarries. Four inches of insulation and high-performance, triple-pane historic replica windows were installed creating an airtight building envelope and allowing for high-efficiency electric building mechanical systems. The Stone Mill is expected to use 46 percent less energy and emit 33 percent fewer greenhouse gases than a typical gas-fired multifamily structure. WinnCompanies
