In partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation and Urban Rivers, our Illinois team volunteered underneath the Chicago skyline to plant trees, weed out invasive plants and replace with potted, native plants and picked up trash via kayaks along Chicago’s Wild Mile. This effort will help maintain the floating ecosystem and contribute to cleaner air and waterways in Chicago. This was also ACG’s first attempt at a zero-waste event. We used fully compostable utensils for our lunch, leveraged plastic-alternatives like aluminum for easier recycling, and wore shirts made of 100% recycled elements! We’re proud of all of the efforts of these team members!

We celebrated our love for all-things automobile by joining forces with the Museum of American Speed for the 100th Anniversary of the ten-millionth Model T Ford. The Sea to Sea in a Model T campaign brought this Model T through five of our states, visiting with enthusiasts and AAA Members in Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska and Colorado — and even getting an oil change and tune-up in one of our AAA Car Care Plus Centers. It was a blast getting to celebrate this milestone in our communities! Thanks to all who joined us.
