The rules of investing are changing—and it's good news for retail investors. Crunchbase reports that one of the top investing trends to watch in 2025 is everyday investors getting access to the private markets. For years, venture capital and private market investing have been reserved for the ultra-wealthy. But new regulations in 2025 could open the door for more everyday investors to participate in the same opportunities as institutions. At The Cashmere Fund, we didn't wait for new rules to make this possible. We identified a fund structure under existing SEC rules that allows investors to access venture-backed companies without accreditation requirements, loopholes, or special exemptions. 📌 The Cashmere Fund is a closed-end investment company registered with the SEC, differing from many alternative asset types that rely on exemptions under Regulations D or A. 📌 Translation? No exclusivity. No closed-door policies. Just access. Some people (looking at some of you millionaires and billionaires) like keeping the garden parties exclusive. Cashmere Fund has officially changed that. With the SEC now exploring rule changes, this shift is gaining momentum. Read the full report in Crunchbase: https://lnkd.in/eFmwvyeX

We’re excited to announce another new company in The Cashmere Fund portfolio – we’ve *inked* the deal with the trailblazing tattoo skincare brand Mad Rabbit. Mad Rabbit has completely redefined tattoo aftercare and preservation. 💪Their signature product is a latex-free tattoo repair patch to hydrate tattoos, reduce ink loss, and provide superior UV protection. With nearly 32% of Americans now proudly sporting at least one tattoo, the demand for high-quality tattoo care products has never been higher. Mad Rabbit products are now sold in nearly 2K Walmart locations. In addition, the company anticipates a projected range of 15-25% upcoming YoY increase in sales – truly extraordinary. Another example of the flywheel of Compound Influence™ – bringing together founders, backers, companies, and our community of investors to create a whole that’s greater than the sum of its parts.

📊 Until recently, alternative assets––including venture capital––have been off limits to most people. Yet “alts” have been part of the most sophisticated investor portfolios for decades. As an asset class, venture capital has historically achieved positive market returns by taking calculated early-stage risks. As we’ve stated, this offers significant upside potential within the private markets, where much of a company’s enterprise value is created and captured by investors. So the question is: why aren’t more people invested in venture capital as part of their “diversified” portfolio? The answer? Because venture capital has been inaccessible to most of us. Today, many investors may believe they have a diversified portfolio––but without venture capital, they may not be there.
