High-quality early education programs like Head Start are key to promoting equity, giving children and families the support they need to succeed. We are proud to see our President and CEO Charles L. Anderson MD speaking at the National Head Start Association’s Fall Leadership Institute and advocating for early education's critical role in creating equitable opportunities for all children. #EarlyEducationMatters
I was honored to deliver the Opening Plenary Session at this year’s National Head Start Association Fall Leadership Institute! I talked about the shared origin story of Head Start and the Community Health Centers from the intersection of the Civil Rights Movement and the "War on Poverty". I also used the opportunity to emphasize the continued importance of us working through our challenges together and believing in what is possible! Spending time with this amazing group dedicated to early childhood education and how it can change lives and uplift communities was incredibly inspiring! At The Dimock Center, we are one of the only places in the country with Head Start and a Community Health Center on one campus. This allows us to witness firsthand the incredible impact of Head Start on ensuring positive outcomes, economic stability, and well-being for children, their families, and our broader community. Looking forward to sharing how we can continue working together to ensure every child and family has the resources they need for a bright, healthy future. Special shoutout to our amazing Dimock Center Child and Family Team! The work you do everyday is challenging, and at times intense, but it is your belief in what is possible that allows us to create a brighter future!! Thank You!! #NHSA #HeadStart #EarlyEducationMatters
