The Ryder Cup is golf’s pre-eminent event, biennially bringing together 12-member teams from the U.S. and Europe.

About us

The Ryder Cup has become one of the world’s greatest sporting events. Every two years, 24 of the best players from Europe and the United States go head-to-head in match play competition. Drama, tension, incredible golf, camaraderie and sportsmanship are served in equal measure, captivating an audience of millions around the world. It’s an event that transcends sport, yet remains true to the spirit of its founder, Samuel Ryder. Ryder Cup Europe, which comprises representatives of the European Tour Group (60%), of the PGA of Great Britain and Ireland (20%) and the Confederation of Professional Golf (20%), owns the rights of the Ryder Cup when the competition is held in Europe. The European Tour Group is the Managing Partner and has prime responsibility for all matters concerning The European Team; the PGA of Great Britain and Ireland is the Founding Partner; and the Confederation of Professional Golf is responsible for the management of the Ryder Cup European Development Trust. The PGA of America owns the rights of the Ryder Cup when the competition is held in the United States. Our Worldwide Partners for the 2025 Ryder Cup at Bethpage in New York are Aon, BMW, Capgemini, Citi, DP World and Rolex.

  • With fewer than 200 days to go until the 2025 #RyderCup at Bethpage in New York, Ryder Cup Europe and Tourism Ireland hosted representatives from across the business community at Ireland House in the MetLife Building on Tuesday night.   The Ryder Cup Business Forum looked ahead to both this year’s contest as well as the 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor, in Ireland. Irish Tánaiste Simon Harris and Paul McGinley – the victorious 2014 European Captain and Strategic Adviser to the 2025 European Team – were among the speakers, along with European Tour Group Chief Executive Guy Kinnings.

  • Extremely proud to announce that Ryder Cup Europe was named Rights Holder of the Year at the prestigious European Sponsorship Association (ESA) Awards in London last night, with more than 500 of the continent’s top sponsorship professionals gathering to celebrate and honour stand out work. We won for the record-breaking sponsorship activation programme at the 2023 match in Rome, which saw a record 37 partners activating and a massive 153% increase in sponsorship revenue vs Paris 2018.     The Love Story ❤️ 🇪🇺  For Valentines Day, Worldwide Partner DP World shipped a long-lost love of 2018 Ryder Cup Captain Thomas Bjørn to Dubai Creek.  Passing through ports in Hamburg and London before arriving at the Jebel Ali freezone, Thomas was reunited with his beloved golf buggy as DP World continue to support the Ryder Cup with end-to-end smart logistics capabilities. #SmartLogisticsToATee

  • It’s a real honour for both the Ryder Cup and Worldwide Partner Capgemini to have won the inaugural Sponsorship Works Award from SportBusiness and SponsorLab, which selects the best sports sponsorship campaign as voted for by the readers of SportBusiness. We won for Capgemini’s Outcome IQ at the 2023 Ryder Cup, a new stat based and AI infused tool that analysed momentum swings and who was most likely to win a hole, match or session.
